Dear Friends and Parishioners,
Peace and blessings from the Lord!
I have to admit that it is a bit of a struggle for me to
go back in my routine after being away from the parish for some time. Needless to say, I am accustomed
to the usual parish schedule, the regular meetings and
appointments during the week. Changes are really
challenging. We have plenty of those changes coming
along the way as the new fiscal year unfolds.

Tengo que admitir que es un poco difícil para mí ir de
vuelta en mi rutina después de estar lejos de la parroquia desde hace algún tiempo. Ni que decir tiene,
me acostumbré a la programación habitual de la parroquia, las reuniones ordinarias y cita durante la semana. Los cambios son realmente un reto. Tenemos un

Our Lady of Destiny had their last day of school last
Wednesday. We’re all aware that this is the last year
of the school’s operation. Surely, we will miss the
presence of our students. I would like to thank everyone who supported the school- our parishioners, parents, teachers and everyone else who invested well for
the Catholic education of our young children. Our
hope in the future is to have an alternative program,
that would respond to the needs of our children that
we may continue to teach them the Catholic Faith.
The procession of the Corpus Christi around the
neighborhood culminates with the Feast of the Lord in
Ordinary Time. I pray that the longest season in the
liturgical calendar (Ordinary Time) may give us more
time to be more conscious of God’s revelation in the
ordinariness of our lives.
One last thing, we will begin to have our outdoor
Mass on Wednesdays during the summer. I would like
to invite those who are willing to bring light refreshments to share after the liturgy. I will give you more
information next weekend. I wish you all a blessed
week.

Nuestra Señora del Destino tuvo el último día de
clases el miércoles pasado. Todos sabíamos que este
es el último año de la operación de la escuela. Sin duda, vamos a perder la presencia de nuestros estudiantes. Me gustaría dar las gracias a todos los que
apoyaron la escuela nuestros feligreses, padres, maestros y todos los demás que invirtió bien para la educación católica de nuestros pequeños hijos. Nuestra
esperanza en el futuro es tener un programa alternativo que responda a las necesidades de nuestros hijos
para que podamos seguir para enseñarles la fe católica.
La procesión del Corpus Christi a lo largo del barrio
culmina la Fiesta del Señor del Tiempo Ordinario. Rezo para que la temporada más larga en el calendario
litúrgico (Tiempo Ordinario) nos puede dar más tiempo para ser más conscientes de la revelación de Dios
en la cotidianidad de nuestras vidas.
Una última cosa, vamos a empezar a tener una misa al
aire libre los miércoles durante el verano. Me gustaría
invitar a aquellos que están dispuestos a llevar refrigerio para compartir después de la liturgia. Yo les daré
más información la próxima semana. Les deseo a todos una semana bendecida.
