“The permanent quality of this church dedicated to St. Joseph reminds us that
Christ will remain with his People until mortal time ceases. It will be to this
church that parishioners will bring their lives filled with both joy and sorrows
and join them to Christ, who offers the perfect sacrifice to the Father. It will be
from this church that Grace of the Sacrament will radiate for the building-up of
the kingdom and for the sanctification of souls. It will be at this church where
people will find nourishment and strength, communion and peace, unity and
friendship.” John Cardinal O’Connor.

THE STATIONS OF CROSS
Every Friday During Lent

March 6th, 13th, 20th & 27th
SECOND SUNDAY OF LENT
First Reading: Genesis 22:1-2, 9a, 10-13, 15-18
God ordered Abraham to take his beloved only son to Moriah and
offer him as a sacrifice. Abraham built an altar and took out a
knife to sacrifice his son Isaac. But God called out to him and told
him of blessings that would be bestowed on him and his
descendants because he had been willing to do what God had
asked.
Second Reading: Romans 8:31b-34
Paul reminds the people that God did not spare his only Son, but
gave him up for the sake of all people. This proves God views us
all as his children, and that no person can harm or condemn us
because God will protect us.
Gospel: Mark 9:2-10
Jesus led Peter, James and John up a high mountain, where he
conversed with Elijah and Moses. A voice proclaimed ‘This is my
Son, my beloved. Listen to him.” Then Jesus was alone and
warned them not to tell anyone what they had seen until he had
risen from the dead.
The period of lent is a time for
testing. Like exams in school, or
annual physical checkups, they
assist us to determine our
knowledge, our professional competence, and our physical
health.
This time of prayer allows us to focus on our spiritual health
and well being. How well am I with God at this moment? Are
there areas for improvement. Am I complacent or content
just to sit back and do nothing? Can I be truly honest as I
hold my spiritual medical report in my hand?
What areas in my relationship with others needs some remedy? Is there someone who needs my love, care and concern? Is there some area of fragmentation I should attend
to, and not just sweep under the rug?
Abraham passed the test with flying colors. Lent is the time
the Lord places before us to make our needed improvements. Our father in faith, Abraham, like our heavenly Father responded generously. I can use this time of lent to do
the same. In the long run, I will benefit.

Almighty and Everlasting God, You have given the human
race .Jesus Christ our Savior as a model of humility. He
fulfilled Your Will by becoming Man and giving His life on
the Cross. Help us to bear witness to You by following His
example of suffering and make us worthy to share in His
Resurrection.
Mary, Mother of Jesus, you were Jesus gift for us from the
Cross. He gave you to us as our mother.
Intercede for all our needs.
We ask this through our Lord Jesus Christ, Your Son.

MEDITACION DEL VIA CRUCIS
los Martes durante la Cuaresma
8:00pm en la Iglesia.
Febrero 24 y Marzo 3, 10, 17, 24
prueba.
Al igual que los
exámenes de la escuela, o el
chequeo médico anual, nos ayuda a determinar nuestro
conocimiento, competencia profesional o salud.
salud y bienestar espiritual. ¿Qué tan bien estoy con Dios en
este momento? ¿Hay áreas que mejorar? ¿Estoy tranquilo o

19 MARS 2015 À 7 :00 PM A L’EGLISE
SUIVIE D’UNE RECEPTION A L’AUDITORIUM. VOUS ETES TOUS
INVITES !
éternelle », dit le Seigneur Dieu (Is 55, 3).
