Extended School Year Services - ESY 2015
PARENT INFORMATION:
Extended School Year (ESY) Summer Services Program will be provided to all students with
disabilities that are eligible as indicated in their Individual Educational Plan.
This year Extended School Year services will begin Monday, July 6, 2015 and continue through
Friday, July 31, 2015. Students attending an ESY location for PK-5, PK-8 or PK-12 will be
assigned from 8:35 a.m. to 1:50 p.m. and from 9:20 a.m. to 12:20 p.m. for students grades 6-12
and assigned to a middle school location. Breakfast and lunch will be provided.
Parents with questions about designated schools for Extended School Year services should
contact their child's school for assistance.
Provisions will be made for students whose Individual Educational Plans require Extended
School Year Services beyond the Summer Services timeline. Students in this category will be
able to attend school at one of four designated special education center school locations: Neva
King Cooper Educational Center, Brucie Ball Educational Center, Ruth Owens Kruse
Educational Center or Robert Renick Educational Centers. The extended hours of operation for
these schools will be as follows: Students (PK-12) - 8:35 a.m. to 1:50 p.m.

INFORMACION PARA LOS PADRES:
Ofreceremos el Programa de Servicios de Verano del Año Escolar Prolongado (ESY) a todos los
estudiantes con discapacidades que califican como se indica en su Plan de Educación Individual
(IEP).
Este año, los servicios del Año Escolar Prolongado comenzarán el lunes, 7 de julio de 2015, y
continuarán hasta el viernes, 31 de julio de 2015. Los estudiantes que asistirán a una escuela de
“ESY” para PK-5, PK-8 o PK-12 serán asignados de 8:35 am a 1:50 pm y de 9:20 am a 12:20
pm para estudiantes de grados 6 a 12 y asignados a una escuela intermedia. El desayuno y el
almuerzo están incluidos.
Los padres que requieren asistencia y tienen preguntas sobre las escuelas designadas para los
servicios de Año Escolar Prolongado deberán ponerse en contacto con la escuela de su hijo(a).
También, ofreceremos los Servicios del Año Escolar Prolongado a aquellos estudiantes que los
requieren más allá del plazo del Programa de Servicios de Verano. Los estudiantes en esta
categoría podrán asistir a uno de los cuatro centros escolares de educación especial asignados
tales como: Los Centros Educacionales, Neva King Cooper, Brucie Ball, Ruth Owens Kruse o
Robert Renick. Las horas de operación prolongadas para estas escuelas serán las siguientes:
Estudiantes (PK-12) – de 8:35 am a 1:50 p.m.
