THE THIRTIETH SUNDAY OF ORDINARY TIME
THE PASTOR COLUMN
LA COLUMNA DEL PARROCO
~ October 26, 2014~
~26 de Octubre de 2014~
My Dear Parishioners,
Queridos Parroquianos,
This past weekend our parish joined church communities around
the world to celebrate 100 years of the apostolic movement of
Schoenstatt. It was on October 18, 1914 that Father Joseph Kentenich made a covenant of love with the Blessed Mother and
asked her to make each Schoenstatt Shrine a place of grace. Our
parish is a place of grace because Our Lady has come here in the
miraculous image of Our Lady of Schoenstatt. We are privileged
to have her with us and we honored her at the 4:00 pm Saturday
evening Mass.
The Schoenstatt Movement brings the visit of Our Lady to us
through the mobile shrine or missionary image. During the visit
of Our Lady, families pray the rosary and make a covenant of
love with the Blessed Mother and then through her to Jesus.
This is the consecration to Jesus through Mary.
I want to especially thank our parishioners for their openness and
patience on Saturday, October 18th. The Mass was a bit longer
but it was marked with a majesty and solemnity that touched the
lives of those who attended. The choir sang beautifully and
played the song written specifically for this centenary celebration. Special thanks to Jill Baruffi and to all who sang that
evening.
Pope Francis referred to this day as a day of great grace around
the world. Every Schoenstatt Mass is a time of great grace. It is
a special Schoenstatt tradition to bring your personal image of
the Blessed Mother to Mass on the eighteenth of the month, to
place her at the altar, and to bring her home with all the graces
received at the Mass. I invite you to bring your image of Mary
to the Mass on November 18th at 7:00 pm at Saint Rose of Lima
Church.
I invite you to experience the joy of Mary’s visit and the power
of the prayer of the rosary.
Many blessings to you and your family,
Father Ariel
Muchas Bendiciones!

For All Who Have Asked For Our Prayers
PRAYER FOR THE SICK
Father of goodness and love, hear our prayers for the sick members of our community and for all who are in need. Amid mental
and physical suffering may they find consolation in your healing
presence. Show your mercy as you close wounds, cure illness,
make broken bodies whole and free of downcast spirits. May
these special people find lasting health and deliverance, and so
join us in thanking you for all your gifts. We ask this through the
Lord Jesus who healed those who believed. Amen

BISHOP SULLIVAN SPEAKS TO BUSINESS LEADERS
When Bishop Sullivan was installed as the 8th Bishop of the

shaped by Christ and joined to His Sacred Heart as I walk
among you, my brothers and sisters in the Diocese of Camden".
During his 20+ months, as the leader of the Catholic Church of
South Jersey, Bishop Sullivan has walked with the people of the
Diocese of Camden and joined us in our triumphs and struggles.
