SACRAMENTS
Baptism—Contact the office before or after the child’s birth. Baptism Class
is on the first Thursday of the month at 7pm in the Church Meeting Room.
Holy Eucharist—Please call the church for Communion to be brought to
the homebound, the sick or the hospitalized.
Reconciliation—Saturday at 4:45pm — 5:15pm or by appointment.
Confirmation—Call the DRE for more information.
Marriage—Bride and Groom must schedule with the pastor a minimum of
one year prior to intended date of marriage.
Holy Orders—If you feel a call to the priesthood or the diaconate, contact
our priests or deacons.
Anointing of the Sick—If you are in need of this sacrament, contact one of
our priests.

WE NEED - Catechists
We have several openings for catechists and classroom aides in our
Faith Formation programs this
year. Over 400 children, preschool
through high school need the encouragement and example of faithfilled teachers. You will have excellent support from the textbooks,
staff and other resources of the parish. Positions are open both
Wednesday and Sunday. If you are interested in learning more

This four-part program is basically designed for women who
are seeking a deeper relationship with God and are desiring
spiritual growth and personal formation. The program focuses
on a personal journey done with others so that a sense of community is developed. It is hoped that women who participate
will commit to attending all four sessions, since one will build
on the other. The weekends will consist of a Friday evening and
all day Saturday, with liturgy and lunch included. Space is limited, so early registration is suggested.

The major relics of St. Maria Goretti

assist them in becoming independent.
They are background checked and get

lodging, meals and welcoming care to
homeless families. Families are assisted
by our Catholic faith community one
week each quarter and reside during this
week at The Ark at the Oratory. We are
in desperate need of parishioners who
can provide and host one evening meal at
The Ark or stay at The Ark one night
during the week we are hosting

and just having a fun night out twice a

EL COMIENZO DE TODO
Inscripciones para el Catecismo de Niños empiezan ahora
hasta finales de Agosto. Los formatos se encuentran en el
loby con sobres para que entregen la cuota junto con el
formato.
Todo el mundo reconoce la verdad de los buenos proverbios,
y por eso perduran de generación en generación. Los rusos
tienen uno sorprendentemente audaz que le pega al Evangelio
de este domingo: “El pan es el comienzo de todo”.
De acuerdo a la primera lectura, puede ser que Elías sintiera
que era demasiado tarde para ser pan –demasiado tarde para
la vida misma. Este gran profeta estaba ya al final de sus
fuerzas y de su aguante. Entonces no uno, sino dos ángeles lo
visitan. Uno le ofrece comida y bebida. El otro le da unas
sorprendentes instrucciones. Para Elías esta comida de los
ángeles es pan para su camino. Fortalecido por este regalo
celestial de comida, él sigue su camino a la montaña de Dios.
En el Evangelio de hoy, Jesús se ofrece a sí mismo, no sólo
como pan para el camino, sino como pan para la vida misma.
Él da su carne para dar vida al mundo. “Yo soy el pan de vida” (Juan 6:48). Él es el comienzo de todo.
Las clases empezaran la segunda semana en Septiembre los
domingos o los miércoles. Los domingos las clases se llenen
entonces hay que inscribir ya.
CORO DE NIÑOS
Los niños y jóvenes
(quienes sepan leer)
están invitados a ensayar en el coro de niños.
Pueden hablar con Chela (catequista) después
de la misa sobre los ensayos. Los niños cantan en la misa una vez al mes.

F.U.E.L. GRUPO DE JOVENES
¿Qué es? Un grupo en el que se comparte la vida joven. Se
tratan todos los temas que tú quieres tratar. Es el motor creativo de la parroquia, haciendo posible una parroquia joven. A
lo largo del curso tendremos actividades y convivencias…
Venga conocer otros jovenes de nuestra parroquia.
¿Para quién? Para jóvenes de grados 9—12. Se reúnen
todos los catequistas, acompañantes y monitores jóvenes de
la parroquia en el Family Life Center (FLC).
¿Cuándo? Domingo a las 10:30h.
CORO DE ADULTOS
El coro de adultos necesita mas voces. Para los que tienen
talento musical en voz o en instrumento estan invitados a los
ensayos los miércoles a las 7pm y los domingos a las 11am.
ESCUELA DE LA FE CRISTO MAESTRO
La escuela de formacion en la fe "Cristo Maestro" se compromete a ayudar a Cristianos Hispanos a crecer en santidad a
traves de un programa de catequesis. Invitamos a todos a
aprender en el siguente taller el martes 18 de Agosto. Para

Saint Anne Columbario y Memorial
Comenzamos la construcción de nuestra columbario, que
cuenta con un sobrio jardín y recinto de nichos para colocar
las urnas de las cenizas de los difuntos cremados. Está dividido en dos sectores y cada uno se encuentra identificado por
nombres y fecha de nacimiento y la muerte.
