Message From Our Pastor… Dear Parishioners,
“Let’s create the right atmosphere for God."
Christmas is coming. To celebrate Christmas is to prepare oneself to be
shelter of the Lord who is coming. Straighten the paths; arrange the shelter; be prepared. Be welcomed. To accept God: We must examine ourselves, clean up ourselves, be open, Pray, pray, pray ... pray always. Be
prayer. Bless, bless, bless ... bless always. Be a blessing. Be humble. Be
meek of heart. Understand. Forgive. Do not judge. Love. Be clean and
free of all that is not of God. To fulfill what we have to fulfill. To be austere in all habits. Give to others what you want for you. Be fair. Be peaceful. Love freedom. Honor, respect, live, and proclaim it...
Build mangers for God. That the manger you build for God may be yourself, cleaning up and preparing yourselves for Him in the mind, the heart,
and the spirit. Prepare the environment where you live, act, and move.
How can and should you prepare the atmosphere for God. (Lesson 407)
The environment or effective means to be, grow and remain is indispensable and necessary. Life is not preserved without an atmosphere. All that is
living needs atmosphere. There are no living creatures without a proper
environment. In the life of grace, as in everything, the environment is required. To be Christians, Christ is needed. Christ is the environment of the
Christian. For Christ to be the atmosphere of the Christian, He should be
there. For Christ to be there cleanliness and freedom of all that is not of
God is required, that is the necessary environment to have Christ present.

Build, create atmosphere of God. Environments suitable for God. To
build, create environments suitable for God is to live and breathe God, by
each creature who is a believer. The atmosphere of God is formed, essentially, by the intimate and personal experience of God and by the way or
style of who lives it. There is no atmosphere of God or environments suitable for God, without the life experience of the believer. Atmosphere of
God equals to the Christian presence of the living Christian or amount of
living. There is no atmosphere of God or environments suitable for God
without the living presence of the believers.
The first thing, therefore, for an atmosphere of God to occur is that there
are people ferments of God, of the vital experience of God, as ripe seeds.
The second is that those ferments people be like Mary: willing to give
themselves, like her, denying themselves. Which is the same as to be willing to die to everything around them, so that God be and do in them and
with them, what pleases Him, according to his own will and plan. The
third thing that is required, so that there is an atmosphere of God or suitable for God is: that the purpose is God. That is, that God is the beginning,
the center and the end of all expected, lived and realized. The fourth element is to let God do. The fifth is to do things like God and for God respecting, loving, understanding, forgiving and with a patient perseverance
and persistence. The sixth thing is that the living ferment learns to disappear. That is, to let God grow and to reduce oneself just like Mary. When
this occurs, the fruits are abundant and enduring: there is peace, justice,
freedom, love, happiness. God is the Lord. The human being is that
blessed creature that enjoys a true paradise. Do this; act in this way; live
like this, teach others to do, act and live that way and you will be creating
atmospheres of God or environments suitable for God. That way you will
help to rescue the world for God and as a result for the happiness of man.

La Navidad se acerca. Conmemorar la Navidad es disponerse a ser
albergue del Señor que viene. Arreglar los caminos; Disponer las
posadas; Prepararse. Ser acogida. Para acoger a Dios: Hay que
Examinarse, Asearse, Disponerse. Orar, orar, orar… Orar siempre.
Ser oración. Bendecir, bendecir, bendecir...Bendecir siempre.
Ser bendición. Ser humildes. Ser mansos de corazón. Comprender.
Perdonar. No juzgar. Amar. Ser limpios y libres de todo lo que no es de
Dios. Cumplir lo que debemos cumplir. Ser austeros de todas las
costumbres. Dar a los otros lo que ustedes quieran para ustedes.
Ser justos. Ser pacíficos. Amar la libertad. Honrarla, respetarla, Vivirla,
pregonarla...
Hagan pesebres para Dios. Que el pesebre que ustedes le hagan a Dios,
sean ustedes en sí, limpiándose y preparándose, para El, en la mente, en
el corazón, en el espíritu. Preparen el ambiente donde ustedes vivan,
obren y se muevan. Cómo pueden y deben preparar los ambientes para
Dios. (Lección No. 407)
El ambiente o medio eficaz para ser, crecer y permanecer, es
indispensable y necesario. La vida no se conserva sin ambiente. Todo lo
que vive necesita ambiente. No hay seres vivientes sin ambiente propio.
En la vida de la gracia, como en todo, se requiere del ambiente. Para ser
cristianos se necesita a Cristo. Cristo es el ambiente del cristiano. Para
que Cristo sea el ambiente del cristiano debe estar. Para que Cristo esté se
requiere limpieza y libertad de todo lo que no es de Dios, ese es el
ambiente necesario para que Cristo esté. (Lección No. 403)
Hagan, creen ambientes de Dios. Ambientes favorables a Dios. Hacer,
crear ambientes favorables a Dios, es vivir y respirar a Dios, por cada
criatura que es creyente. El ambiente de Dios está formado, esencialísima
mente, por la íntima y personal vivencia de Dios y por el modo o estilo de
hacer del que lo vive. No hay ambiente de Dios o favorable a Dios, sin la
experiencia vital del creyente. Ambiente de Dios es igual a presencia
cristiana del viviente o suma de vivientes. No puede haber ambiente de
Dios o favorable a Dios sin presencia vivencial de creyentes.
Lo primero, pues, para que un ambiente de Dios se dé es que haya
personas fermentos de Dios, de la vital experiencia de Dios, como
semillas en sazón. Lo segundo es que esas personas fermentos sean como
María: dispuesta a darse, como Ella, negándose a sí mismas. Lo que es
igual a estar dispuestas a morir en todo a todo lo de ellas, para que Dios
sea y haga, en ellas y con ellas, lo que a Él le plazca, según su propia
voluntad y plan. Lo tercero que se requiere, para que haya ambiente de
Dios o favorable a Dios, es: que la finalidad sea Dios. Esto es: que Dios
sea el principio, centro y fin de todo lo esperado vivido y realizado. El
cuarto elemento es que se deje hacer a Dios. El quinto, que se haga como
Dios y para Dios: respetando, amando, comprendiendo, perdonando y
con paciente constancia y persistencia. El sexto, que el fermento viviente
sepa desaparecer. Esto es: que deje que Dios crezca y que mengue él, tal
como María. Cuando esto se da, los frutos son abundantes y perdurables:
hay paz; hay justicia, hay libertad, hay amor, hay felicidad. Dios es el
Señor. El hombre es la criatura bienaventurada que disfruta de un
verdadero paraíso. Hagan esto; obren de este modo; vivan así, enseñen a
hacer, obrar y vivir de esa manera y estarán creando ambientes de Dios o
favorables para Dios. Así contribuirán a rescatar el mundo para Dios y
consecuencialmente para la felicidad del hombre. (Acta 207)

Mary set out and traveled to the hill country in haste to a
town of Judah, where she entered the house of Zechariah
and greeted Elizabeth. When Elizabeth heard Mary’s greeting, the infant leaped in her womb, and Elizabeth, filled with
the Holy Spirit, cried out in a loud voice and said, “Blessed
are you among women, and blessed is the fruit of your
womb. And how does this happen to me, that the mother of
my Lord should come to me? For at the moment the sound
of your greeting reached my ears, the infant in my womb
leaped for joy. Blessed are you who believed that what was
spoken to you by the Lord would be fulfilled.”
En aquellos días, María se puso de camino y fue a prisa a la
montaña, a un pueblo de Judá; entró en casa de Zacarías y
saludó a Isabel. En cuanto Isabel oyó el saludo de María,
saltó la criatura en su vientre. Se llenó Isabel del Espíritu
Santo y dijo a voz en grito: "¡Bendita tú entre las mujeres, y
bendito el fruto de tu vientre! ¿Quién soy yo para que me

Brief commentary: On the four th Sunday of Advent we
stand at the threshold of Christmas. How incomparable is
Christmas, how singular its good news, how much joy and
solace, hope and cheer, good will and light it brings to so
many in so many places! Even – and especially – in the most
difficult places and moments we know that the heart of
Christmas is not the commercialization that so exploits it (and
us!), but rather its heart is the One who comes in solidarity
with us, sharing in the most difficult places and moments of
our lives and of our world. The Son of God entered our world
in solitude, in poverty, under oppression, in obscureness, in
utter vulnerability. Absolutely none of the spectacle or opulence of today’s Christmas celebrations adorned him. Instead,
his entrance into the world is very much in union with the
abandoned and forgotten, the marginal and the ignored, the
suffering and the desperate. All who find themselves in such
situations can say that this day is for them, they are in good
company…Christmas is first and foremost their day. Like
Elizabeth our hearts leap for joy at the nearness of Christ,
who came to us through the humble but daring young Jewess
of Nazareth. Mary dared to say ‘yes’ to God’s plan in spite of
all difficulties; she dared to believe and trust. It is to her that
as the Church we draw our attention to today. Just as we
heard John the Baptist’s message this Advent, now Mary’s
‘greeting reaches us’. She is the ‘blessed’ one who first believed in the astonishing way in which God’s Word was to
take flesh in our world, and the first and foremost to love the
‘fruit of her womb’. Mary’s visitation of her kinswoman in
the Judean hill country is one that she makes to us today…to
us her children, her brothers and sisters. She calls on us to
open anew our hearts and lives to her son Jesus, who ‘has
come to accomplish the will of God’. What prophets like Micah announced continues to find fulfillment today, for Jesus’
‘greatness increasingly reaches to the ends of the earth’ and
he continues to be the ‘source of peace’ for countless. In Jesus ‘God has roused his power and come to save us’; in him
God “saves us in every way that a human being can be
saved.” How we will celebrate Christmas is not as important
as how we will understand and live Christmas, how we will
live as a result of Christmas. This year, in particular, let us
live Christmas in solidarity with our persecuted sisters and
brothers in Syria, Iraq, Libya, and so many other places where
the Child of Christmas and his followers continue to find no
room.
Comentario breve: En el cuar to domingo de Adviento
estamos al umbral de la Navidad. ¡Que incomparable es la
Navidad, que singular sus buenas nuevas, cuanto gozo y
consolación, esperanza y alegría, buena voluntad y luz le trae a
tantos and tantos lugares! Hasta – y especialmente – en los mas
difíciles lugares y momentos sabemos que el corazón de la
Navidad no es la comercialización que tanto la explota (¡y a
nosotros!), pero en vez su corazón es El que viene en
solidaridad con nosotros, compartiendo los lugares y momentos
mas difíciles en nuestras vidas y mundo. El Hijo de Dios entro
nuestro mundo en soledad, pobreza, bajo opresión, en
obscuridad, en completa vulnerabilidad. Absolutamente ningún
de los espectáculos o opulencia de nuestras celebraciones
Navideñas lo decoraron. En vez, su entrada al mundo fue
mucho en unión con los abandonados y olvidados, los
marginados e ignorados, los que sufren y los que se desesperan.
Todos los que se encuentran en tal situaciones pueden decir que
este día es para ellos, que están en buena compañía…la
Navidad es principalmente su día. Como Isabel nuestros
corazones saltan de gozo a la cercanía de Cristo, quien nos vino
a través de una humilde pero intrépida judía de Nazaret. María
se atrevió a decir ‘si’ al plan de Dios a pesar de toda dificultad;
ella se atrevió a creer y a confiar. Es a ella que como la Iglesia
nos dirigimos hoy. Así como oímos el mensaje de Juan el
Bautista este Adviento, ahora el saludo de María nos llega. Ella
es la ‘bendita’ que fue la primera que creyó en la manera
sorprendente en que ‘la Verbo de Dios se hizo carne’ en nuestro
mundo, y la principal que amo ‘el fruto de su vientre’. La
visitación de María a su prima Isabel en el pueblo montañoso
de Judea es una que también ella nos hace hoy…a nosotros sus
hijos, sus hermanos y hermanas. Ella nos llama a abrir nuestros
corazones y vidas a su hijo Jesús, quien ‘ha venido a cumplir la
voluntad de Dios’. Lo que profetas como Miqueas anuncio
continua a cumplirse hoy, porque la ‘grandeza de Jesús
continua a extenderse a los confines de la tierra’ y el continua
siendo la ‘fuente de paz’ para innumerables. En Jesús ‘Dios ha
alzado su poder y ha venido a salvarnos’; en el Dios “nos salva
en toda manera en que el ser humano puede ser salvado.” Como
celebraremos la Navidad no es tan importante como la manera
en que la entenderemos y la vivemos, como viviremos como
consecuencia de la Navidad. Este año, en particular, vivamos la
Navidad en solidaridad con nuestros hermanos y hermanas en
Siria, Irak, Libia, y en tantos otros lugares donde el Niño de la
Navidad y sus seguidores todavía no encuentran lugar.
