Arriba la setmana
del disseny!
La Barcelona Design Week torna
del 8 al 14 de juny per celebrar
la seva 10a edició. Aquest esdeveniment internacional, organitzat per BCD Barcelona Centre
de Disseny, convoca una vegada més empreses, dissenyadors,
emprenedors i altres agents de
l’àmbit del disseny, la innovació
i la creativitat, i s’obre a la ciutat per arribar també al públic
general interessat en aquests
àmbits.
Sota l’eslògan el Disseny és aquí!,
la 10a edició de la BDW compta
amb un programa especial que
inclou més de 50 activitats, des
de conferències, exposicions i tallers, a presentacions, circuits,
taules rodones, celebracions i
activitats de networking. Entre
d’altres, destaquen la conferència inaugural 'Design in Tech’ amb
Jackie Xu i la intervenció de John
Maeda, que ens parlaran del binomi 'Disseny & Tecnologia' com
a factor d'èxit de les empreses
més rellevants del moment; l’exposició ‘Timeless Massimo Vignelli'; la presentació del projecte Food Design; l’Ecodesign Day:
the fixers movement, o la primera
edició del ‘Design is Future Congresstival’, un esdeveniment que
explorarà nous enfocaments del
disseny des de les perspectives
de la professió, l'empresa i la societat mitjançant un format que

barreja els conceptes de 'congrés' i 'festival'.
A més d’altres activitats com els
Workshops BDW i els Design Circuits, el programa es completarà
amb l’OFF BDW, que inclou més
de 30 activitats paral·leles de
caràcter multidisciplinari organitzades per entitats, empreses
i establiments que obriran la BDW
a la ciutat. 10 Design Weeks convidades
A diferència d’edicions anteriors,
en les quals s'ha comptat amb un
país convidat, amb motiu del seu
10è aniversari la BDW ha convidat 10 design weeks internacionals, que compartiran les seves
experiències amb el públic i participaran activament en diversos
esdeveniments.
La Barcelona Design Week obrirà les portes de la 5a edició del
Barcelona Design Festival, que
enguany es durà a terme del 8
de juny al 5 juliol.

d’experiència al servei de les empreses i les institucions públiques que té com a objectius principals promoure el disseny com a

l'exposició 'Timeless Massimo Vignelli', que ret homenatge a un dels
principals referents del disseny
contemporani.

Conferència inaugural:
'Design in Tech' amb
Jackie Xu i John Maeda
La conferència inaugural de la
BDW serà l’escenari de presentació del ‘Design In Tech report’,
un informe que posa en valor la
importància del binomi ‘Disseny
& Tecnologia’ com a factor clau
per a l’èxit d’algunes de les empreses més competitives de l’actualitat. Aquesta ponència, que
comptarà amb la intervenció de
John Maeda – via connexió en directe amb Silicon Valley -, serà
impartida per Jackie Xu, sòcia
de KPCB (Kleiner Perkins Caufield Byers) i membre de l’equip
liderat per Maeda que ha de-
senvolupat el Design In Tech
report.
Els assistents a la conferència,
que es durà a terme el 8 de juny
a l’auditori del Disseny Hub Barcelona, tindran l’oportunitat de
conèixer de primera mà què està
succeint en algunes de les principals empreses tecnològiques de
Silicon Valley, les quals han fet un
gir estratègic cap al disseny, un
fenomen que pot servir d’exemple
per a moltes empreses catalanes.

Amb motiu de la BDW el Disseny
Hub Barcelona acollirà l'exposició 'Timeless Massimo Vignelli',
un homenatge col·lectiu realitzat per 54 reconeguts dissenyadors gràfics i estudis nacionals i internacionals que han
volgut commemorar la vida i l'obra
d'una de les figures més influ6

La mostra, un projecte de l’estudi creatiu Husmee, es podrà
visitar a partir del 8 de juny durant la inauguració de la BDW
2015, i romandrà oberta al públic fins al 31 d’agost.

És possible crear noves experiències al voltant d'una taula a

El proper 10 de juny et convidem
a participar en un espai de diàleg per conèixer el procés creatiu aplicat en un projecte creat
per a la BDW per Guillem Oliva,
director gastronòmic del Monvínic, i el dissenyador de producte
Martín Azúa, una iniciativa que
ha comptat amb la participació
de Caves Gramona.
La BDW 2015 tindrà com a un
dels temes principals un moviment relacionat amb la sostenibilitat i el disseny que, dia a
dia, guanya més adeptes. El moviment dels fixers ('reparadors')
és actualment una realitat ben
present en molts àmbits, i serà
el protagonista de l'Ecodesign
Day d'aquest any.
L'activitat, que es durà a terme
el 9 de juny al Disseny Hub Barcelona, se centrarà en com el fenomen de la reparació està canviant la forma en què interactuem
amb els nostres productes i objectes i, al mateix temps, la forma
en la qual l'usuari es converteix
en dissenyador i ajuda així a reduir l'impacte dels residus que
produïm com a individus.

quals es respondrà en la primera edició del 'Design is Future:
innovation through design congresstival', un esdeveniment que
explorarà nous enfocaments del
disseny des de les perspectives de la professió, l'empresa
i la societat mitjançant un format que barreja els conceptes

Future té com a missió mostrar
el disseny com una eina clau en

'Design is Future', creat i organitzat per BCD Barcelona Centre de Disseny i l'estudi toormix

Una vegada més, la Barcelona Design Week inclou en el seu programa tallers organitzats per estudis
i empreses creatives de la ciutat:
4-id Creative Network, Creactivitat, Exipple Studio, Innou, Magma
Design i Nutcreatives. Aquestes
activitats s'adrecen tant a professionals com al públic general
interessat en el potencial creatiu dels dissenyadors locals. Els
assistents podran participar activament en sessions sobre diferents temàtiques que es duran a
terme en format workshop, com
a sessions pràctiques o cursos
formatius de curta durada, entre
d'altres. Dins el programa podràs consultar tota la informació sobre els tallers que formen
part de la BDW 2015.

La BDW 2015 acollirà la presentació de
la Design More Flagship Store de T-Mall a Barcelona, un projecte innovador
creat per Tmall i la Beijing Design Week
que integra consum, exposició i participació. L’acte comptarà amb la presència de representants de Design
More, Alibaba i unnodrit grup de dissenyadors locals. Només hi faltes tu!
L'acte de cloenda de la BDW servirà per celebrar la fi de la 10à edició
d'aquest esdeveniment internacional,
així com per commemorar el 15è aniversari de la revista Interiores, que
ha participat en aquesta setmana del
disseny convidant els barcelonins a
visitar una selecció dels millors establiments de decoració i interiorisme de
la ciutat. Vine i participa d'aquesta
celebració conjunta, i gaudeix de la
música i d'un espai de networking únic

Quins són els nous rols dels dissenyadors? Com potencia i impacta el
disseny en les empreses? Com ajuda
el disseny a construir un món millor?
Aquests són alguns dels interrogants
als quals es respondrà en la primera
edició del ‚ 'Design is Future: innovation through design congresstival', un
esdeveniment de nova creació que explorarà nous enfocaments del disseny
des de les perspectives de la professió, l'empresa i la societat mitjançant
un format que barreja els conceptes
de 'congrés' i 'festival'. 'Design is Future' té com a missió mostrar el disseny com a eina clau en els processos
d'innovació i, alhora, anar definint el
professional del disseny del futur com
un actiu estratègic per a les empreses.

Barcelona Design Week
is back!
Barcelona Design Week is back to
celebrate its 10th edition from
8 to 14 June. This international
event, organized by BCD Barcelona Design Centre, is once again
inviting companies, designers,
entrepreneurs and other agents
from the spheres of design, innovation and creativity, and is
opening up to the city to also
reach the general public interested in these spheres.
With the slogan Design is here!,
the 10th BDW has a special
programme including over 50 activities, from conferences, exhibitions and workshops, to presentations, circuits, round tables,
celebrations and networking activities. Among others, we can
highlight the opening conference
'Design in Tech’ with Jackie Xu and
the intervention of John Maeda,
who will tell us about the 'Design
& Technology' nexus as a success factor for the most important companies of the moment;
the exhibition ‘Timeless Massimo
Vignelli'; the presentation of the
Food Design project; Ecodesign
Day: the fixers movement, and
the first ‘Design is Future Congresstival’, a new event which
will explore new approaches to
design from the perspectives of
profession, business and society, using a format which mixes
the concepts of 'congress' and
'festival'.

such as the BDW Workshops and
the Design Circuits, the programme will be completed with
OFF BDW, which includes over 30
multidisciplinary parallel activities organized by entities, companies and establishments which

the occasion of its 10th anniversary BDW has invited 10 international design weeks, which
will share their experiences with
the public and participate actively in various events.
Barcelona Design Week 2015 will
open the fifth edition of Barcelona Design Festival, which this
year will take place from June 8
to July 5.

Monvínic, and the product designer Martín Azúa, an initiative
that has counted on the participation of Caves Gramona.
