Each of our digital curriculum tools provides the ability to personalize learning as well as track and monitor the progress of student achievement . The chart below outlines the EUSD approved suite of digital curriculum tools. Digital curriculum tools are intended to support the delivery and practice of the Common Core State Standards. One way we strive to achieve this is through our district health and wellness program. Students in EUSD receive two lessons per week consisting of “on the mat” yoga and “through my actions” character education. School gardens, a new nutrition curriculum, and our ten-­‐acre Farm LAB are currently focus areas that round out our comprehensive health and wellness program. NEW REPORT CARD EUSD is moving forward with a new report card that reflects our transforming educational system, as well as the new state standards. COMMON CORE STATE STANDARDS 2014-­‐15 is the first full year of implementation for CA public schools. The Common Core are standards that raise the level of learning expectations for our students. In EUSD we have taken a unique approach to meeting these standards through a blend of traditional, digital, and project based learning. CAASPP TESTING The new California Assessment of Student Performance and Progress (CAASPP) system encompasses both online (3rd-­‐6th grade ELA/math) and paper pencil tests (5th grade science). The Smarter Balanced component of CAASPP is an adaptive test that digitally assesses both English language arts and mathematics content areas. Students are scored on both the number of correct answers and the difficulty of the questions completed. Los Estándares Comunes son estándares que elevan el nivel de expectativas de aprendizaje para nuestros estudiantes. En el distrito EUSD nos hemos enfocado para lograr estos estándares por medio de la combinación de aprendizaje tradicional, digital y basado en proyectos. El componente del examen Smarter Balance del CAASPP es un examen flexible que evalúa por medio del sistema digital, ambas áreas del contenido de Artes del Idioma Inglés y Matemáticas. Los estudiantes son calificados usando ambos el número de respuestas y el número de respuestas correctas y el nivel de dificultad de preguntas realizadas.
