We are a Catholic community of faith in the Jesuit tradition gathered around Jesus Christ and centered in the
Eucharist. In a diverse and changing world we struggle to grow in our relationship with God and with one another.
Through our worship, our ministries and our promotion of peace and justice, we walk with Jesus of the Gospel who
reveals God’s love for all.

"A Note of Thanks"
The Lord is risen! As Christ's disciples, we are called
to go forth and spread the good news of His Resurrection. Our parish's many ministries are examples of
how many of you answer that call. Our ministries require not only gifts of time and talent, but also of financial help. Please prayerfully consider supporting
St. Anthony with electronic donations through Faith
Direct. You can sign up online at www.faithdirect.net
using our church code NY581 or mail in an enrollment
form from the parish office.
Once again our St. Anthony choir provided glorious
music for our holiest days of the church year.
Many choir members sang for Holy Thursday, Good
Friday afternoon, Good Friday evening, the Great
Easter Vigil, and again on Easter Sunday morning!
What a great commitment they made in serving our
parish community! Their music made the services
even more meaningful.
We thank them for their faithfulness.
Sincerely yours in Christ,

The disciples in today’s Gospel
came to know Jesus in the breaking
of the bread. When we share what
we have with those who are in
need, we, too, will discover Jesus in
our midst.
Living Stewardship
We are grateful this week for all
stewards in our parish who, imitating
the example of Jesus, reach out to
others by bringing the Eucharist to
the sick, hospitalized, homebound
and elderly.

NYS Legislation
As of 3/6/15 three bills, in support of Physician-Assisted
Suicide have been introduced.
Oppose: S.3685—(Savino) The New York End-of-Life Options Act
A.2129—(Rosenthal) The Death with Dignity Act
A.5261—(Paulin) The Patient Self-Determination Act
Action:
Sample Message: Dear Legislator: Please oppose the Physician-Assisted Suicide bills: S.3685—(Savino) The New
York End-of-Life Options Act; A.2129—(Rosenthal) The
Death with Dignity Act; A.5261—(Paulin) The Patient Self
-Determination Act. These bills are bad because they would
turn doctors into killers weakening the trust between doctor
and patient. They would put undue stress on patients by
creating a “duty to die” in order to ease the family’s financial pressure. Although at first assisted suicide would be
only for the terminally ill, it would start us down the slippery slope of killing the seriously depressed and disabled
much like legalized abortion was supposed to be only for
the hard cases but has become abortion on demand through
all nine months of pregnancy.
Please reply as to how you will vote on the above legislation. Thank you.
