April 5 “Easter Sunday Service,” Adam Dyer, Intern Minister, LIVE. Join us for
our Easter Service, which will feature a homily by Adam, special music by the South Bay
Singers, and the beloved rituals of Flower Communion and the Wheel of Life. After the
service, join us for an art project celebrating resurrection by making something new from
something old. All attending Worship on Easter are encouraged to bring a
flower or flowering branch to participate in our Flower Communion.

Congregation-Wide Racial Justice Opportunities—On Sunday, March
29 at South Bay, Rev. Kathleen Owens will speak about her pilgrimage to Selma for the
50-year anniversary of the Selma civil rights march. During the next months, there will
be on-going opportunities to learn, go deeper, and act for racial justice in our
community. Here are some ways you can participate:
Learn Wish you could have gone to Selma with our Ministers and friends last week? You
can watch some of the fantastic speakers online! Highlight: Opal Tometi, co-founder of
the #BlackLivesMatter movement at www.uulivinglegacy.org
Go Deeper Courageous Conversations - These small, facilitated discussion groups
will help us explore challenging topics. Sign-ups will be in the social hall after each
Service.

Climate Justice Volunteer Meeting--April 7 (Tuesday) from 6:30 to 8
p.m., Room 323, Hillcrest Campus. Get involved in the work of the climate justice
ministry! Rev. Jennifer Channin will lead the April 12 Service in Hillcrest and the
April 19 Service in South Bay with members of the Climate Justice team. Hear
updates on the Listening Campaign with the congregation to hear what members
think about Climate Change. What is the San Diego Climate Action Plan? We will
also talk about what kind of plan San Diego needs for a healthy future.
