High Performance EIFS- Optimizing Performance
with Specifications and Details
John Thomas
BASF
This presentation goes into the history of EIFS up to
our current day Adhered Drainage EIFS. A further discussion will present the utility of
AD EIFS vs. the new 2012 IECC codes and how this type of wall can actually be
considered a “perfect wall”. It outlines how to properly specify AD EIFS so your
expectations on performance get met by the installer. It also goes into proper detailing
of AD EIFS so that penetrations and terminations will not become a problem post
application.

Understanding Outdoor LED Lighting
Joe Michalak
Acuity Brand Lighting
This course will give an overview of outdoor street, area, and parking lighting with LED
luminaires. As this new lighting technology continues to gain acceptance as an energyefficient alternative, it is important to understand how it impacts the visual environment
and what unique challenges it brings. Lighting Quality is an intersection of human
needs, the environment, and economics. All three of these elements play an important
role in lighting the outdoors.

project teams and building owners. Learn how to appropriately set goals and
expectations. Discuss many of the pitfalls of point-chasing / plaque-chasing and how
this approach to green buildings can miss the opportunities for real value evaluation.
Discuss value add of specific aspects of the green building process, and to not miss
