We made it through a
beautiful holiday season.
Our staff did a great job
making this time a festive
one for our residents and
I want to thank each one
for their efforts. During
this cold and flu season,
care needs to be taken
to help guard our
residents from these
viruses. If you have a
cold, cough or fever
please refrain from
visiting until you recover.
We encourage you to
visit, but please be
cautious during flu
season.
Congrats to our
employees of the month
Linda and Karen!

Tommie has always loved to clean or
“keep house” as she always said. She
loved shopping and took many trips
with her family. Tommie loves her
family and has four granddaughters,
one grandson and eight greatgrandchildren.
Erlanger Hospital Staff Nurse
Labor and Delivery R.N.
Tommie Lea Braley was born August
14, 1935 and raised in the Harrison
area. She was the oldest of three
children and the only girl. Tommie met
David E. Braley and they married in
1955 after his discharge from the navy.
Together they had four daughters.
The first three daughters were so close
in age that people wondered if they
were triplets when they were all
together. Tommie started LPH training
when the youngest started school.
Then in 1965, a 4th daughter was born.
While she worked as an LPN, she went
back to school to earn an RN degree.
She worked various places, one as
director of Home Health of East
Tennessee. She retired from Erlanger
Medical Center.
Tommie has always been a role model
in her community. She has
encouraged and supported whoever
needed her assistance.
