Run Samsung Remote Unlock Client (Start -> Programs -> Simlock Remote Client -> Samsung Remote Unlock client) 16. Login using your SRS login 17. Select your phone model from the drop down list 18. Press rescan and make sure 'Samsung Android Modem' is detected (In case of trouble Check and set Samsung OMAP5 ports) 1. Make sure your original Samsung USB cable is connected to your computer and your phone (turned on in correct mode) 2. Open 'Device Manager' on your computer: On XP go to: Start -> Settings -> Control Panel -> (Switch to Classic view ) -> System -> Hardware (tab) -> Device Manager. On Vista go to: Start -> Type in the following commando in the 'Search box': devmgmt.msc and hit enter. On Windows 7 Click the pearl button (start button) then in the search box type 'Device Manager', you will see 'Device Manager' in the search results. Click and it opens. 3. Only one of them works for unlocking. When trying to unlock check your log (white log screen) you should see a line with 'Chipset: M9xxxx' (where xxxx are random other characters). If this line reads anything else then 'M9' you have the wrong Com port selected!. 6. You can directly see the Comport number between the brackets (ComX where 'X' is a number) 7. Select (or type) this number under 'Select Comport' in the SRS software 19. Click button 'Advanced Options' a new part of the software will appear at the bottom 20. First we need to repair the NVM on the phone: 1. First click 'read nvm' to make a back-up 2. When this is successfully done click 'Write NVM' go to the folder where you installed our software and find the 'NVM' folder (standard this would be: c: > program files > simlock remote client > NVM ) 3. Find the NVM file for your phone and open it If the NVM for your phone model is NOT there you need to obtain a working phone of the exact same model. Create a good NVM file using the 'read nvm' option and then use that file. 4. The software will now load the NVM file to your phone 21. Now check your phone; IMEI should be 0049xxx - if not you have hardware failure 22. IMPORTANT: only continue with writing IMEI if your IMEI starts with 0049 (or 0044)! If IMEI is blank or all zeros IMEI repair will NEVER be successful and NO refund will be given 23. To repair IMEI: ONLY fill out your 15 digit original IMEI (DIGITS ONLY) and NOT your SNR 24.
