The city of Jackson issued permits for the construction of four single-family homes last year, the most since 2007. The number of new residential construction permits issued in 2014 — for single-family homes, duplexes and apartments combined — is also the highest since 2011. The benefits coordinated by Patty Morton, Jeff and Keri Luhmann and several others were a true testiment to the impact Gail had on Jackson and the surrounding communities. We would not have been able to spend the time we did in Rochester without this help, and you will never know how much that meant to this family. I was found last October on the streets of Jackson, near death from having to fend for myself for too long. Today I am happy, healthy, and very affectionate with people I know well. I am a bit shy with new people at first, and would prefer a quiet home where I can run and play, and snuggle with you when you get home. The folks here think I am around 2 years old; I am neutered, up to date on shots, and house-trained. I get along well with friendly kitties. My only fear is of winding up outside again; I run to my safe spot to hide whenever a door opens, so I need an indoor-only home.
