BENDIX NAMES JOHN KEMER VICE PRESIDENT AND GENERAL MANAGER,
VALVES AND MODULES
Key Appointment Continues Momentum for Global Vision and Growth
ELYRIA, Ohio – Jan. 30, 2015 – Bendix Commercial Vehicle Systems LLC continues to
bolster its senior management team by appointing John Kemer vice president and general
manager, Valves and Modules. Kemer also becomes the newest member of the Bendix
Leadership Committee and joins the two-person Controls Governance Board.
John Kemer joined Bendix as a staff engineer in 1996, managing a complex line of
pneumatic valves. Since then, he has held a variety of positions of increasing responsibility with
the Valves and Modules business unit, most recently serving as director. In his new role, he
assumes executive oversight of the Valves and Modules group, providing strategic and
business team leadership. He also joins Claus Beyer, vice president and GM, Brake Controls
and Electronics Technology, on Bendix’s Controls Governance Board.
In 2008, Kemer was honored as an Excellence in Bendix Leadership recipient, the
highest individual distinction a Bendix employee can receive.
“In his 18 years of serving our company, John has been instrumental to the success of
the Valves and Modules group, demonstrating daily what makes him a strong Bendix leader –
from exceptional emotional intelligence and integrity to a personal standard for quality that
yields consistent, thorough, decisive, and timely results,” said Joe McAleese, Bendix president
and CEO. “I am confident that our Valves and Modules business will thrive under his
leadership.”
