Position accountabilities: Accountability Monthly Reporting Key activities to deliver on accountability Responsibility for maintaining accounting records for GSM and group companies and review of all nominal accounts up to trial balance in accordance with best practice. Assist in the preparation of consolidated monthly management accounts (P&L, BS, CF) for the GSM London Group, for review by the Finance Manager and submission to the Board. Responsibility for the preparation of monthly cost tracking analysis, liaising with budget holders and reporting back to the Finance Business Partner in preparation for meetings with the departments. Calculation of agents commission and course adviser bonuses on a monthly basis. Maintaining of accruals and prepayment schedules and posting of the relevant journals on a monthly basis. Reconciling the intercompany positions each month, investigating all differences and ensuring correction journals are posted. Performance of all balance sheet reconciliations at month end. Posting of all relevant month end journals. Preparation and submission of quarterly VAT returns. Accountability Data analysis and reporting Key activities to deliver on accountability Preparation and consolidation of rolling academic delivery costs and any such supporting analysis as may be reasonably required by the Faculty. Preparation of cost per acquisition analyses and any such supporting analysis as may be reasonably required by Student Recruitment. Involvement in ad hoc projects, modelling and analysis for the business, and assisting the Finance Manager and Finance Business Partner as and when required. Develop and produce management reporting and analysis to provide insight to the Finance Team and budget holders and help them make effective financial and strategic decisions. Provide day-to-day support and financial analysis, as and when required by stakeholder groups. Assist in the coordination of internal and external auditors to ensure a timely and effective process. This includes the provision of financial data, answering queries and financial management compliance. Provide cover for other Finance team members. Works closely with the Finance Manager, members of the Finance Team and the Head of Student Finance to ensure compliance with policies and regulations. Work with other GSM London departments as required. Build and maintain strong relationships with all key internal stakeholders. Clearly communicate information to stakeholders.
