Level 1: Explore the
Sporting Hip & Groin
This course focuses on introducing a clinical framework from
which to assess, diagnose and manage clinical presentations of
hip and groin pain in a sporting population. Common points for
differential diagnosis in this area will be discussed and skills
leading to clinical reasoning competency will be a focus.
About the Hip
& Groin Workshops
Leanne Rath and Andrew Wallis have
structured a program of learning to
develop clinical competency in the area
of diagnosis and management of hip
and groin pain in sport. Combining their
rich and diverse experience, they have
integrated paradigms of injury management
in an effort to facilitate clinicians to
develop a broad and whole perspective
for hip and groin case management. They
are passionate about the role Sports
Physiotherapists play in diagnosis and
management, in this often complex area.
They are committed to professional
development to this end.
With many years of lecturing on this
topic by both Andrew and Leanne, the
course provides for a more complete
clinical instruction to encourage
exploration of the sporting hip and
groin by Sports Physiotherapists.
The Level one course will cover all basic
areas of clinical enquiry including skilled
subjective questioning, clinical tests and
functional assessment relevant for hip and
groin pain, considerations for differential
diagnosis and a clinical reasoning process
that leads to the design of an appropriate
individual management plan.
