Summer Day Camp Registration ·········· April 6, 2015 HOURS OF OPERATION Monday - Thursday 9:00 A.M. - 7:00 P.M. Friday 9:00 A.M. - 6:00 P.M. Saturday 9:00 A.M. - 3:00 P.M. Sunday Closed As covered entity under Title II of the Americans with Disabilities Act, the City of L.A. does not discriminate on the basis of disability, and upon request will provide reasonable accommodations to ensure equal access to its programs, services, and activities. REGISTRATION INFORMATION PAYMENT FOR ALL CLASSES ARE DUE AT TIME OF REGISTRATION. Accepted methods of payment: check, money order, Visa, MasterCard, if paying by cash, only exact amounts are accepted. A collection fee will be charged for each check returned by the bank. REFUND POLICY Full refunds are only issued when the Recreation Center cancels the activity. A 15% cancellation fee is assessed for all refunds. Changes or transfers per class, sports league or day camp registration; may be assessed additional fees. After the first day of a session, the Recreation Center issues a partial refund to patrons withdrawing from the activity. Early Childhood is a time of life that is different from later school years. The Pre-K age child learns best through direct, interactive experiences rather than through listening to someone talk. They learn extraordinary amounts through play and exploration. Our program is designed to teach numbers, colors, shapes, socialization, and much more. We offer a wide variety of activities for young children to explore and experience. This is a Monday thru Thursday program offered from 9am -12noon, that runs August 18 th, 2014 through May 14, 2014. Culmination Event on May 14, 2014. TO REGISTER, PARENTS and/or GUARDIANS MUST… •Visit the Park office and pick up a registration packet. •Complete registration packet & return it with payment. •Provide a copy of your child’s birth certificate and immunization records. (A copy can be made at the park office) • Child must be potty trained. No exception. FEES ARE AS FOLLOWS: $25.00 One time registration fee (per child per year) $50.00 4 days - M-TH $40.00 3 days - any three days $30.00 2 days - any two days NOTE: Individual days are NOT available. Additionally, no credits or make up days will be issued for missed days, unless a doctor’s note is issued. Thank you. Transportation is not provided, However, park staff conducts a walking pick up from SOCES to the park. The Quack Pack breaks in the Spring and in the Winter. 818-881-3882 • [email protected] SPRING 2015 Most Classes in session for 8 weeks Most classes begin in March AIKIDO Monthly Fee: Children $45 / Adults $60 BALLET Ages 7-12 Wednesday 6pm-7pm & Saturday 9am-10am Ages 13-Adult Monday 7pm-8pm & Wednesday 7pm-8pm and Saturday 10am-1130am Japanese system of self-defense in which various holds and circular movements are used to cause the opponent’s strength and weight to work against them. This program is continuous class with a monthly fee. Instructors: Salvador and Aurora Hernandez TENNIS $50- 1 day for 8 wks or $100- 2 days for 8 wks Ages 6-8 years Tue 6pm-7pm and/or Sat 8am-9am Class begins March 24th / Class begins March 28th Students will develop an overall ability to play the game of tennis. Maximum amount of students allowed per class is 8 unless directed by instructor. Students are asked to bring a tennis racquet and one can of tennis balls. Instructor: Will Jackson $50 for 8 weeks Tuesday Ages 3-5 years old, 4pm—4:30pm Children will develop body awareness, coordination and rhythm. Children should wear a black or pink leotard with matching tights and ballet shoes. Parents may observe the first and last class only. Your child will develop body awareness through stretches, and tumbling, focus on socialization, and building self-confidence all while having fun! Instructor: Roxanne Moran Class begins March 27th . This hip-hop class will give your child a way to explore rhythmic expression and fitness to nurture a life-time of love for dance. Using new and “old-school” beats, your child will develop his or her own funky style through steps and routines, which will be showcased in a special end of the session Dance party. . Children should wear comfortable clothing and shoes. Parents may observe the first and last class only. Instructor: Elony Classes begin March 27th Piano $80 for 8weeks Saturday 12:30pm-3pm (half hour increments) Ages 9-adult Private 25minute sessions for only $10! The class runs for 8weeks and the cost is $80. Lessons will be conducted on an electronic keyboard and include basic technique, music reading, and repertoire. A music book will need to be purchased for $7- $10. Students will need to practice at home on a piano, keyboard, or roll key board. Limited spots available! It is a mixture of body-sculpting movements with easy-to-follow dance steps. A combination of fast and slow rhythms tone and sculpt the body, maximizing caloric output, fat burning and total body toning.
