The Gifted Child Society 190 Rock Road Glen Rock, New Jersey 07452-1736 Phone 201.444.6530 www.gifted.org [email protected] Reaching for the Stars Welcome to The Saturday Workshop Spring 2015 Program! Dear Families, Tell me and I forget. Teach me and I remember. Involve me and I learn. Benjamin Franklin This philosophy is what we at The Gifted Child Society (TGCS) strive to achieve in every course offering that we design in our programming. Gifted children are fervent in their approach to learning and we believe that they achieve the greatest encouragement from an active, hands-on method in the classroom. Inspiring a gifted learner involves not only instruction but also providing them the freedom to express themselves and use their imagination. Our Saturday Workshop Instructors are truly passionate about inspiring these unique gifted learners. We feel they are uniquely gifted themselves in being able to not only instruct, but guide them to think outside the box, question the unknown, work with like-minded peers, and achieve answers that result in amazing smiles, laughter and the knowledge of self-achievement. Anything is possible! Holding to that ideal, we have decided to consolidate our programming to a single location for 2015. We are pleased to announce that both our Saturday Workshop and Summer Super Stars Camp programs will be located at Northern Highlands Regional High School in this year. TGCS is proud to be housed at such a prestigious and high-caliber facility. Having access to NHRHS labs, technology, the planetarium, and many other exceptional classroom environments will enable us to enrich further our programming curricula and develop even more exciting new ideas for learning. Many thanks to our Member families for your continuing participation in our programs, which has enabled us to remain a positive force of support for gifted children in New Jersey for nearly sixty years.
