The Prez sez…
For starters, I’d like to say thank you to Editor Evi for covering
for me last month, as I wasn’t quite myself and had no desire to
pick up my feet, let alone an ink pen. Slow, but sure, I’m getting back to my old self
This month, the Burton youth group will be serving up a Valentine’s Diner on Feb. 14 in Spence Hall. Be sure to get your
tickets for this. The kids work really hard. The meal is fantastic
and I’ve been told the kids are donating all proceeds to the rebuilding of the Michigan Family Rec Center, which was destroyed by fire! We could all take note on the dedication of
these young Eagles, as they are on the right path as far as I’m
concerned.
Please remember when you bring guests into the Social Room
to be sure they are properly signed in to the Visitor Register.
And, also by reminded you are responsible for them while they
are in the club!
One last thing! While winter is upon us and the hazards of
winter are around, if you notice the walk icy or snow covered,
take a minute to pitch in and keep everyone safe. This is much
needed this time of year and would be most appreciated! The
salt and shovel are close to the door. Thanks again!
This club is here for us all to enjoy, but it’s more enjoyable if
we are all here!
Hope to see you all soon!

The Madam Prez sez…
Happy New Year everyone! Hope everyone had wonderful
holidays! So far we have been pretty lucky this winter as far as
the weather. Let’s hope it continues. Please remember to help
keep the sidewalks clear. We have salt and a shovel by the door,
so let’s all pitch in and help keep it clear!
We are very fortunate this year to have one of our very own,
Jerry Crosby, going in as State Worthy President for the state of
Michigan Aerie. We are all very proud of Jerry and his accomplishments. He needs our support! We will be having a cash
bash on March 21st in Jerry’s honor. Tickets are $25.00 and get
one person in. Food will be provided. There will be lots of raffles and prizes, so make sure you get your tickets and com join
the fun! First prize is $1000.00, 2nd prize is $500.00 and 3rd
prize is $250.00. Hope to see you there!
Make sure you check the calendar each month because we
have many fun things coming up in the next few months.
It’s been nice to see a few ladies attending the meetings! I
encourage all members of both Aerie and Auxiliary to attend the
meetings and see what is going on and what you can do to help
support YOUR club. We need new ideas, so please bring them
to your meetings.
Thank you to all of the officers, both Aerie and Auxiliary for
all that you do! These people volunteer their time to keep our
club going. Please remember to thank them when you see them!
We will be holding elections for officer in May, so if interested
in running, please see a current officer for information!
This is the year of the “Rainbow!” Just ask me and I will explain!
Hope to see everyone in the coming weeks!!
