INVITATION It is the Alliance Française de Launceston Inc’s turn to host this year’s Tri-Alliance Pique-nique et Pétanque Competition Sunday, 1 February 2015 at 12:00 noon Clarendon House, Evandale. Clarendon House, Evandale Pétanque in the park (just like at Clarendon!) C’est quoi? The annual Pique-nique hosted by the Alliance Française de Launceston, with the Alliances de Hobart et du NordOuest, and pétanque competition for the wonderful “baguette d’or” perpetual trophy. C’est quand? Sunday, 1 February 2014 at noon. Pétanque competition starts at 1.30pm. C’est où? The magnificent, historic heritage property of Clarendon House, 234 Clarendon Station Road, Evandale. Clarendon is 27 kilometers from Launceston, south of Evandale, along the C416 to Nile. Please Note: You will need to bring all picnic supplies, including chairs and tables, hats and blockout. Also, please don’t forget to bring your pétanque set if you have one! The National Trust manages this wonderful property and they run tours of the House at a reasonable cost. Adults $15, Concession & Seniors $10 & free for under 18’s and National Trust Members. Two front rooms, the Dining and Lounge Rooms, have recently been fully restored and are magnificent. Tours start from 10am and finish by 4pm, so keen pétanque players may want to arrive early. The Café will be open for coffees, etc., but limited food range (slices, cakes, etc).
