Spring Church Retreat March 20 - 22, 2015 Tuesday Afternoon at the Movies February 24th, 2:00pm The movie Radio is the story of a high school coach and the developmentally challenged man he took under his wing. Football coach Harold Jones befriends Radio who becomes a student at T.L. Hanna High School in Anderson, South Carolina. Their friendship extends over several decades, where Radio transforms from a shy, tormented man into an inspiration to his community. The movie is a true story inspired by events in the 1970’s in Anderson, South Carolina. Much of the movie was filmed in Walterboro, South Carolina. Cuba Gooding, Jr. plays James Robert Kennedy who was nicknamed Radio because of his radio collection. Jones played by Ed Harris is as good example of the difference one person can make on another while changing the attitudes of others.
