School News and Other Important Information
• Thomas Jefferson HS applicants: The test will be given on Saturday, February 7th at the
same time and at the same location that was previously scheduled. Please check the
TJHS website for more information if needed.
• Sectionals for 7th and 8th grade violins/violas will take place on Monday, February 9th.
• Rising Freshmen Orientation at Loudoun County High School will be Wednesday,
February 11th at 6:00 p.m. This evening is for parents and students to learn more
about high school from the Raiders Administrative and Counseling Team. The LCHS
Open House will occur immediately after your orientation.
• AAU VA Panthers basketball tryout information is in the house offices.
• PBIS Cash in for the 2nd Quarter had an excellent turn out! As a result, three more
selections were added: Karaoke, Dance Lessons with Ms. Vail AND the Ultimate Puzzle
Challenge. The students now have SO many choices. Look at the House Show Cases to
see if you are eligible. Students will register tomorrow, Friday, February 6th and
Monday, February 9th at lunch.
• The Student Council (SCA) meeting scheduled for Tuesday, February 10th has been
changed to Tuesday, February 24th.
• Students interested in Ping-Pong should sign up in their house office.

• Open Studio today with Mrs. Vail in Art 3. Dismiss on First Bell.
• Mandatory meeting for all Winter Sports Club members after school today. All
students planning on attending the trips, must attend today’s meeting.
• Latin Student Association has a meeting today after school. Dismiss on first bell
Creative Writing Club will meet after school today.

• Spanish Speaking Parents Night is tonight at 7:00 p.m.
