Lean Enterprise About the Program A Lean Enterprise is characterized as a customer-centric approach to achieving "performance without waste." Many organizations waste 70%-90% of available resources through improper management of information, materials and time to name a few. Lean Enterprise principles offer tangible methodologies for the identification and elimination of this waste, resulting in improved service, quality, productivity and profitability. A fundamental concept is to identify and understand our processes from a value stream approach, resulting in more efficient and effective delivery of value to the customer. The project-based Lean Enterprise Certificate Program teaches the fundamentals, techniques and follow-up skills necessary to achieve measurable results from the shop floor to the top floor. The Lean Enterprise program is conducted in a dynamic learning environment using performance and process simulation, lecture, plant tours, videos, selected hands-on activities and case study discussions. During the course, students complete a group/individual project focused on actual workplace application of the lean principles. Upon completion, students will possess a complete framework for the successful lean implementation and deployment within their own operation.
