A charge is made for these activities (see section on «Prices»). The booking is made in your name and is personal to you. When we receive your payment, we will issue you with a receipt that you will be required to present to the escort, along with your passport or residence permit, on the day of the activity or trip. You may not give or sell your booking to any other person. Paris departures from and returns to Place Denfert-Rochereau (Métro or RER B: station Denfert-Rochereau). In this instance, we will cover the cost of your overnight accommodation in a hotel in a dormitory room. Evening meals on the eve of your departure (Friday evening) and the night of your arrival (Sunday evening) are not covered. • For day trips, we cover the cost of transport to and from Paris but not accommodation. • For evening events, we do not cover the costs of transport to and from Paris or overnight accommodation in Paris. ACCOMMODATION • You will be accommodated in 2* or 3* hotels on the basis of twin-bedded rooms. • For certain activities, you will be accommodated in dormitory rooms. Couples: as far as possible, we accommodate couples in a double room, if requested at the time of booking. MEALS Breakfast, lunch and dinner are eaten in restaurants. Menus contain no pork or beef. (Picnics or packed meals may sometimes be provided). Beverages are included in the menu: ¼ litre of wine and/or water. For those who do not drink alcohol, we ask restaurateurs to replace the wine by fruit juice, whenever possible. Coffee is not systematically included in menus. Important: it is strictly forbidden to bring in alcohol during any of the activities. INFORMATION CONCERNING MENUS Menus are identical for all participants. However, three food options are possible: an meat and fishfree menu, an meat-free menu and an alcoholfree menu. You should indicate your dietary requirements when making your booking: no change can be made once the activity is under way. If you do not accept the meals served to you, you will be required to pay immediately for any alternative meal you may order. 22 PRACTICAL GUIDE CHANGES TO THE PROGRAMME INSURANCE The programme featured in the brochure is purely indicative. Campus France reserves the right to modify a programme in the event of adverse weather conditions or unforeseen circumstances at the last minute. The escorts will take these decisions on the spot. Such changes will not entitle participants to the total or partial refund of the cost of the activity. • If you are a member of our French social welfare system, you are covered against all risks incurred during the activity except for any exclusions provided for, including for the practice of sports. Administrative formalities for travel abroad Always check before departure that you are permitted to travel to and in the country of destination, and/or that you are in possession of a valid passport. Important: a receipt for an application for a residence permit does not entitle you to leave French soil. A receipt from the Préfecture de Police for an application for the renewal of a residence permit is accepted, however. • Holders of a valid temporary residence permit (student or scientist) or of a Schengen «multiple entry» visa: no administrative formalities required. • Non-holders of a residence permit: you should check with the Préfecture of your department of residence and with your country’s Consulate or Embassy in order to obtain the authorisations necessary to leave and enter French territory. • If you are a member of the French Social Security scheme for Students and have complementary insurance (through a «mutuelle»), you are covered against all risks incurred. Punctuality (departure, meeting and return times) is imperative. Out of respect for the other participants, the group will not wait for latecomers. We suggest you keep the programme for the activity with you, so that you can catch up with group later, at your own expense. The escort will hand you your admission ticket(s) to shows at the agreed meeting point. If you are late, your ticket(s) will be left at the box office for you to collect. • If you are in any other situation, you must take out specific insurance to cover you against any risks of which you might be a victim or any loss or damage you might cause to a third party. • Campus France accepts no liability in the event of theft of personal possessions or tickets.
