She has sung the roles of Parandzem in “Arshak II”, Carmen in “Carmen”, Pauline in “The Queen of Spades”, Azucena in “Il Trovatore”, Amneris in “Aida”, Adalgisa in “Norma”, Charlotte in “Werther”, Stephano in “Roméo and Juliette”, Fenena in “Nabucco”, Preziosilla in “I Vespri Siciliani”, Santuzza in “Cavalleria Rusticana”, Kundry in “Parsifal”, Olga in “Eugene Onegin”. In 1999 she won the International Contest of “Chant à Liège” (Belgium), and during the following two years became laureate of seven international competitions. Varduhi won 1st prize at Maria Callas and Montserrat Caballe International Singing Contests (2001); the National Award “Artavazd” in the “Best opera actress of the year” category (2004). Varduhi has performed at the Bolshoi Theatre in Moscow, Tokyo’s Bunka Kaykan Theatre, Teatro di Verdi in Sassari, Teatro Sperimentale di Spoleto, Grand Théâtre de Genève, “Festival Euro Mediterraneo” in Rome, “Festival Castell de Peralada” in Spain, MIDEM Festival in Cannes, festival “Suoni di Primavera” in Italy, “Flâneries Musicales d’Eté” of Reims, Festival d’Ambronay in France, Salle Gaveau of Paris, London’s Royal Festival Hall, Kodak Theater in Los Angeles, Victoria Hall in Geneva, Montreux’s Stravinsky Auditorium, and in cities including Prague, Montréal, Rome, Catane, Madrid, Munich, Athens, Barcelona, Vienna, Copenhagen, Brussels. Varduhi has sung with Montserrat Caballe, Angela Ghiorghiu, Cecilia Gasdia, José Cura, Carlos Almaguer, Franco Vassallo, and under the direction of conductors Pierre Dominique Ponnelle, Alexander Joel, Fabio Pirona, Adrian Leaper, Werner Pfaff, Miguel Ortega, Gabor Takacs-Nagy and others. Lilit Soghomonyan, soprano. A soloist at the Spendiaryan State Theatre of Opera and Ballet, Lilit has taken part in several international competitions including Master class for opera singers (2013); won 2nd prize for Tosca at the “Toti dal Monte” in Treviso (2008), and was awarded a bursary for a master-class at the Academy Ca’Zenobio with Regina Reznik. She was a finalist at the “Turandot” international competition in Verona (2009) and won 3rd prize at the “Citta di Brescia” (2010). Lilit has performed with the Armenian National Philharmonic Folk Instrumental Ensemble in Jordan and Bulgaria, and performed in concert in Lebanon, France, Italy, Czech Republic. She has also sung the role of Aida in “Aida”; Leonora in “Il Trovatore”; Donna Anna in “Don Giovanni”; Tosca in “Tosca”; Norma in “Norma”; Santuzza in “Cavalleria Rusticana”; Turandot in “Turandot”; Liza in “Queen of Spades”; Zemfira in “Aleko”; Michaela in “Carmen”. Liparyt Avietisyan, tenor. Liparyt has had numerous solo recitals in Armenia as well as Great Britain, France, Italy, Belgium, China, Russia, Japan, Finland, and the Ukraine. In 2012 Liparyt performed the role of Saro in “Anoush” in Paris, and has participated in prestigious festivals such as “Viva Verdi”, XXI International music festival “Stars of the white nights” and “Easter festival”. Liparyt won 2nd prize in the “Muse of the World” international contest of vocalists in Moscow (2010), and won 2nd prize and the “Audience Prize” at the “Maria Bieshu II International Competition for Opera singers” (2013). Since 2013 he is a soloist at the Spendiaryan State Theatre of Opera and Ballet, and sings leading roles such as Saro in “Anoush”, Alfredo in “La traviata”, Young Gypsy in “Aleko”, Don Jose in “Carmen”. His repertoire expands into chamber music such as Mozart’s “Requiem”, Verdi’s “Requiem”, Mahler’s “Das Lied von der Erde”, Saint-Saens’s “Oratorio de Noel”, Bach’s “Magnificat”. Armen Aghajanyan, piano. Since 1995 Armen has appeared as an accompanist of the Yerevan State Theatre Institute, and of Spendiarian State Theatre of Opera and Ballet. Armen is the accompanist at the Vocal Department of Komitas Yerevan State Conservatory. He has received numerous awards at various competitions and festivals, and is a laureate of “The Best Accompanist” of the International Singing Competition “Romansiada” (2002), Tatevik Sazandaryan Republic Competition of Singers (2006), Gohar Gasparyan Republic Competition (2008) and others. Armen has appeared in concerts as an accompanist and soloist in Armenia, Russia, Spain, Austria, Belgium, United Arab Emirates and other countries. He has had numerous collaborations with world-renowned artists such as Arax Davtyan, Barseg Tumanyan, Erik Kurmangaliev, Aram Gharabekyan, Adam Rapa, Placido Domingo Jr. and others.
