We had a lighter run this week, cattle suitable for grass are beginning
to show a little more demand and feeder cattle improved slightly. I
don’t feel we’ve quite found a bottom yet, but we are getting close.
Remember in the last 10 days weight cows have gone down $40 in the
meat translating to $15-20 at the auctions. Just remember this land is
full of opportunity and each day the Good Lord lets us open our eyes,
is just one more day we have to see our opportunities. My thoughts
and prayers go out to the Greg Bitter family as he was a former
employee of Russell Livestock and a longtime customer and the Joe
Hlavaty family of Olmitz, another long time customer.
