The Arlington Public Schools
GoLingo! integrates music and movement into Spanish, French, Italian, and Mandarin
Chinese language classes. Our program is based on the principles of child development
and language learning. By introducing vocabulary and grammar through skits, songs,
art, and stories, we make learning fun. We offer 12 weeks of one hour after- school
enrichment programming. All materials are included. We hope your child will join us
on our journey through language!
Course Descriptions:
Beginner Spanish / French / Italian / Chinese
Help your child discover a new culture and explore the world’s diversity
through language study!
New language learners participate in a wide variety
of fun and active games and activities. Students
“travel” to a foreign country where new grammar
and vocabulary serve as a vehicle for experiencing
that nation’s culture, cuisine, music, drama and
visual arts. Students learn common phrases and
expressions to use in daily communication, such as
greetings, self-descriptions, and likes and dislikes.

Intermediate Spanish / French / Italian / Chinese
More experienced language learners will learn to
create new and more complex sentences using their
ever-expanding vocabularies. Students will learn to
ask and answer questions, express their needs and
emotions, and exchange information and knowledge.
We will also work on reading and writing in the target
language, including writing and illustrating our own
short stories. Art, music, and movement continue to
be important components of our curriculum.

beginner class and will continue to work on individual characters in the intermediate class.

AND/OR ALLERGIES. Note that no nurse is on duty during GoLingo! classes, and that staff have no access to

GoLingo! follows the Arlington Public School calendar. Children of all grades are welcome to join.
We will adjust classes according to grade levels.
PLEASE NOTE: Registration materials will be processed as they are received. Confirmation emails will be sent out to
certify that your student has completed registration. The schedule listed is contingent upon adequate enrollment for each
section. There is also a limit on the number of students in each class. In the case of insufficient enrollment or a lack of
availability, you will be notified and offered alternatives.

TERMS & CONDITIONS
I/We, the parents/guardians of
, a minor, hereby consent to his/her participation in the Arlington
Public Schools program, the taking of photos of my/our child and/or promotion of the program, and to his/her use of the
Arlington Public school facilities and equipment. I/We further agree to release and hold harmless the Town of Arlington,
Arlington Public school and their employees, agents and assigns from any and all liability or expenses arising out of
any incident involving, or any account of any injury to the above named minor in connection with such program. I/We
further consent to the emergency treatment by a physician in the event of injury to, or illness of our child during his/her
participation in this program. I/We accept full responsibility for all costs for such emergency treatment. I/We agree to abide
by APS policies.
I/We are responsible for prompt pick-up and drop-off of my child. GoLingo! teachers are trained to work with groups of
children. I understand that should my child have difficulty cooperating, the teacher will telephone me to ask me to talk
with my child and clarify classroom expectations. If the problem continues and jeopardizes other children’s learning, I
understand that I may be asked to withdraw my child from the program with no refund. No refunds given after the first
class of each semester. GoLingo! reserves the right to cancel class if fewer than 10 children register; your money will be
refunded.
