2015 GEORGIA AG FORECAST—JANUARY 22, 2015
Georgia Ag Forecast is organized by the Center for
Agribusiness and Economic Development. This event is made
possible through the Georgia Farm Bureau Land Grand
University Lecture Series Endowment and supported by the
Georgia Department of Agriculture and the Georgia
Agribusiness Council.
As the state's number one industry, agriculture touches our
lives every day—whether you're a producer, business tied to
agriculture, policymaker or consumer. Predicting markets and
preparing for the next growing season can be a tough job, and
that's where we can help. Ag Forecast is an annual seminar
series presented by the University’s College of Agricultural and
Environmental Science’s Center for Agribusiness and
Economic Development.
For seminar agendas and speaker information,
visit www.georgiaagforecast.com.
UGA, the state's flagship institution, is committed to sharing
the latest research and information to help make your life a
little easier. Our agricultural economists will give the economic
outlook for agriculture for the coming year.
Participants will have the opportunity to network with local
producers, stakeholders and UGA Extension agents. A copy of
the 2015 Georgia Ag Forecast book will be provided to each
participant which is designed to give a detailed analysis of
each major commodity produced in the state.

UNMANNED SYSTEMS IN PRECISION AGRICULTURE CONFERENCE
FEBRUARY 3-4, 2015 - UGA TIFTON CAMPUS CONFERENCE CENTER
This conference provides an opportunity for the unmanned systems and agribusiness
communities to network.
Speakers are selected from both unmanned systems and
agribusiness communities to discuss their findings in feasibility, technology, logistics, and
financial intersections of unmanned systems with agribusiness. Of particular interest are topics
on safety, value, and limitations of unmanned systems in agriculture. Given that the most
prolific unmanned systems to date are aerial, discussions on the acceptance of agriculture unmanned aerial systems in the
national airspace are highly relevant.
The conference will be separated into 3 tracks and is focused on agricultural segments in Georgia:
 Row Crops such as cotton, peanuts, corn, etc.
 Vegetables and fruits
 Poultry and livestock
The conference will highlight the technology of unmanned aircraft and sensors as well as ground robotics, and this year will
include more information about the ways these technologies can be integrated into a modern farm operation. The conference
will prepare the agricultural community with “best practices” or operational concepts so that they can be implemented in the
near future.
All are welcome, members of AUVSI and non-members alike. This is not just a technical
discussion. Growers, farmers, producers, politicians, consultants, engineers, scientists, and
students are all requested to be in attendance to provide their unique view of this burgeoning
era of unmanned systems in precision agriculture.
