COPYRIGHT
Copyright is really important for authors, poets, artists,
musicians and all creators. No one likes it when someone else
copies their work – especially when they take credit for it. It’s
also wrong if someone copies work and then puts it online for
anyone to see or to use without permission. It’s essential that
students understand why copyright matters so that all creators
continue to receive the credit and payment they are entitled to.
Download the Publishers Association’s new lesson plan to help
you explain copyright and the role it plays in protecting ideas.
