One of the best ways to let people know
about Center services is through our current
members. Many of you have invited friends,
neighbors and your children (yes, we have
members whose children are 55 & older) to
come to the Center, and we appreciate your
efforts.
Please help us continue to spread the word!
If you know someone who would benefit
from coming to the Center, let Cathy or Susan know and we will send them a current
newsletter and follow-up with a phone call.
Also, if you belong to a group at church, or
often see a group of friends, and you would
like one of us to come and give a brief talk
about the Center let us know.
You are our best ambassadors because you
can communicate first-hand how much you
enjoy HPC and how Center services help you.
Please contact Cathy or Susan with any
questions, 321-6816.

100 Foot Journey The family of talented cook
Hassan Kadam has seen both culinary delights and
profound loss. Drifting through Europe after fleeing
political violence in India that killed their mother
and the family restaurant business, the Kadams arrive in France. Once there, a chance auto accident
and the kindness of a young woman named Marguerite inspires Papa Kadam to set up a Indian restaurant. Unfortunately, this puts the Kadams in direct
competition with the snobbish Madame Mallory's
acclaimed haute cuisine establishment across the
street where Marguerite also works as a sous-chef.

had to work in the abbey for three years to pay off the
cost of her care. At the end of Philomena’s service,
Anthony was taken from her to be placed with any
person the abbey’s Superior deemed “fit and proper.”
An American couple adopted Anthony, took him to
