The 8” Parallelogram Jointer offers performance
and value in a machine loaded with features.
The cutterhead is a helical design with 54
four-sided knife inserts – these produce a
superior finish and much quieter operation than
conventional cutterheads, and the inserts do not
require adjustment once installed.
The Jointer has an extra long 82” bed for better
work support and is equipped with an innovative
single handwheel design that tilts the fence in and
out with positive stops at +/-45 and 90 degrees.
A non-mar insert in the fence contacts the table to
avoid scratching the surface during adjustments.
The parallelogram design keeps the table in close

VERITAS® MINIATURE
SHOULDER PLANE
This miniature version of our medium shoulder plane
was developed out of a desire to test the limitations of
our materials, design, and manufacturing processes (not
to mention the patience of our engineers!). Weighing
a mere 1.7 oz and measuring 21/2” long by 1/4” wide,
this is the smallest plane we have made to date. Despite
its diminutive size, it is fully functional and remarkably
effective for fine trimming or cleaning the bottoms of
narrow dados. It is surprisingly comfortable to hold,
making it exceptionally easy to maneuver and control.
The investment-cast stainless-steel body has a fixed
mouth, with a machined sole and ground sides. A low 15”
bed angle combined with the 25” blade bevel provides
a 40” cutting angle. The stainless-steel Norris-style
adjuster lets you set the full-width A2 blade (0.060” thick)
with precision. Supplied in a French-fitted embossed
leatherette box. Made in Canada.

Also known as a moving fillister, this rabbeting
plane cuts quickly and quietly, avoiding the set-up,
noise and dust associated with power tools. Like
the Stanley #289 that inspired it, it is configured
with a blade skewed at a 30° angle to reduce cut
resistance, aid in shaving clearance, and help pull
the fence tight against the workpiece. Because the
blade sits flush with the side of the plane body,
corner cuts are clean and accurate. Adjustable in
two axes (vertical and horizontal) for depth and
projection, the scoring spur sits ahead of the
blade and is used to reduce tear-out on crossgrain work. The spur can be recessed for work
with the grain.

VERITAS® MINIATURE ROUTER PLANE
As with Veritas’ other miniature planes, this tiny 3” wide router plane not only looks
like its full-size counterpart, it works like it, too. Surprisingly comfortable to hold and
maneuver, it is ideal for hardware installation and for fine inlay or intarsia work.
It comes with a 1/8” wide A2 tool-steel blade that can be positioned inboard for standard
use or outboard for true bullnose work. The stainless-steel body has been machined
and the sole ground and lapped flat. The sole has also been designed to encircle the
blade for maximum registration to a workpiece, and to bridge recesses for stability on
narrow stock. The knobs are bubinga. A fine-screw feed mechanism sets blade depth;
blades are secured with a knurled clamping knob.
Supplied in an embossed, French-fitted presentation box, it is an outstanding gift for
any woodworker.
