Brian Hsu Department of Linguistics University of Southern California 3601 Watt Way, GFS 301 Los Angeles, CA 90089 Email: hsub [at] usc [dot] edu Website: www-scf.usc.edu/~hsub/ RESEARCH INTERESTS My main theoretical interests are at the interface between syntax and phonology. My research investigates the types of syntactic information that infuence the creation of prosodic structure, and the formal mechanisms by which syntactic and phonological requirements can interact to determine word order. The goal of my research program is to obtain superior descriptions of syntactic and phonological representations, and a deeper understanding of the relationships between different modules of language faculty.
