One day Workshop
on
Branding and Advertising Development for MSMEs
(30 January 2015)
Rationale
In present era of information technology revolution, creating an appropriate online
presence is very essential for all businesses, as it provides competitive
advantage. Branding and advertising in digital space facilitates the businesses
with better access to mass markets at an affordable cost at the same time equip
them to do marketing in a personalised way. The flexibility and cost-effectives
offered by digital space makes it more appropriate for MSMEs. However, despite
the argued use of internet there has been little evidence on extensive use of
internet. Additionally, lack of skills and know-how for brand identity design or
running an e-campaign (advertisement) in an effective fashion is well evident.
Furthermore, amid the lack of expertise the amount of return entrepreneurs would
be able to get by adopting branding and advertising in digital media space creates
more suspicion in the mind of MSMEs/entrepreneurs about the relevance and
efficacy of these tools for MSMEs. Therefore, more awareness, training and
debates are required on this issue.
In this context, ni-msme with its vast experience in supporting the MSME sector
proposes to organise one day workshop titled “Branding and Advertising
