The JetBlue focus cities
JetBlue’s first revenue flight was from New York (JFK) to Fort Lauderdale/Hollywood
Airport in 2000. Today, JetBlue is not only New York’s Hometown Airline™ but the largest
carrier in Boston, Los Angeles/Long Beach, Puerto Rico and the Dominican Republic. The
airline’s network is concentrated in some of the most high-value geography in the United
States, with focus cities in Boston, Fort Lauderdale, Los Angeles/Long Beach, New York,
Orlando, and San Juan, Puerto Rico. JetBlue operates approximately 825 daily flights to 87
cities in 17 countries throughout the Americas, with one-third of its route network in the
Caribbean and Latin America.
Boston
With up to 125 daily departures to 54 cities across the U.S.
and Caribbean, JetBlue offers more flights and nonstop
destinations than any carrier in the history of Boston Logan
International Airport. JetBlue means business in Boston,
offering service to key markets including Charlotte, NC,
Chicago (O’Hare), Dallas/Fort Worth, Los Angeles (both LAX
and Long Beach), Philadelphia, Raleigh/Durham, NC and
San Francisco, as well as near-hourly service to New York
(JFK and Newark) and Washington D.C. (Baltimore, Dulles
and Reagan National). In addition, JetBlue serves vacation
destinations including Aruba, The Bahamas, Grand Cayman,
Jamaica, Puerto Rico, St. Maarten and the U.S. Virgin Islands.
Los Angeles/Long Beach
JetBlue is the largest airline at Long Beach Airport, midway
between downtown L.A. and the attractions of Orange
County. JetBlue has up to 32 daily departures, including
frequent service to the Bay Area and other top destinations
in the western U.S., including Portland, Seattle and seasonal
service to Anchorage. JetBlue offers the airport’s only
transcontinental service, with flights to Boston and New York.
At Los Angeles International Airport (LAX) JetBlue operates
flights to New York (JFK), Boston and Fort Lauderdale. In
2014, JetBlue introduced its new Airbus A321 aircraft with
its premium Mint experience, including lie-flat beds and
private suites, available on all LAX-JFK flights.
JetBlue also provides daily flights between Burbank’s Bob
Hope Airport and New York (JFK).
New York
JetBlue is New York’s Hometown Airline™ with up to
225 daily flights from four airports in the New York City
metropolitan area: JFK, LaGuardia, Newark, NJ and
Westchester County. At JFK, which is JetBlue’s singlebusiest operation, the carrier currently offers up to 175
daily departures to 65 destinations throughout the U.S.,
Caribbean, and Latin America. Since 2008, JetBlue has
operated from the much-acclaimed and award-winning
Terminal 5 (T5), named one of the World’s 10 Most Beautiful
Airport Terminals by Frommer’s Travel. In late 2014, JetBlue
opened T5i – the “i” for international – which added new
gates and customs and immigration capabilities to the
terminal.
Fort Lauderdale/Hollywood
Fort Lauderdale/Hollywood was JetBlue’s first destination
and today is one of its busiest, with up to 81 daily departures
to 35 destinations. In addition to frequent service to the
Northeast – including five airports in the New York City area
– JetBlue also offers transcontinental flights to Los Angeles
and San Francisco, plus flights to key Latin destinations
including Bogotá, Cartagena and Medellin in Colombia;
Lima, Peru; and San Jose, Costa Rica.
Orlando
From Orlando, JetBlue offers up to 68 daily departures to 24
destinations stretching from Buffalo to Bogotá, Colombia.
The airline offers frequent service to four airports in the New
York City area – the largest market from Orlando – as well
as daily services to key Latin America destinations including
Cancun, Mexico; San Juan, Puerto Rico; San Jose, Costa
Rica; and Santo Domingo, Dominican Republic.
San Juan
JetBlue is the largest airline in Puerto Rico, offering up
to 53 daily departures to 15 cities including top mainland
destinations like Boston, Chicago, New York and Washington
D.C., four cities in Florida, as well as intra-Caribbean service
to the U.S. Virgin Islands, the Dominican Republic and St.
Maarten. At Luis Muñoz Marín International Airport, JetBlue
is the sole airline to operate from Terminal A, a new facility
that opened in 2012.
