CHILD CARE & EDUCATION
Before & After School Programs
Running all school-year long, this
program includes fun activities, crafts,
homework help, games, swimming,
gym time and more - all in a safe
environment. This program also
provides all day “fun club” activities
on school days off and snow days.
Our before and after school programs
are state certified and have a
curriculum that is aligned to the
Common Core and Ohio New learning
standards. Topics are based on the
children’s interests within the
classroom and focus on cultural,
developmental and linguistically
appropriate practices.
Spring Preschool & Kindergarten

Designed to help children make the
transition from home to school while
preparing the older ones for
Kindergarten. Includes swimming

Teen Y Club
The Teen Y Club has come to the
Ashtabula County Family YMCA! Teen
Y will provide teens with extensive
leadership training and offer
opportunities for service to the YMCA
and the community. Teen Leaders
Clubs also serve as a recruiting
program for future Y professionals.
Teens between the ages of 12 and 17
develop leadership skills, fostering
within them a culture of service in
addition to knowledge and training
that will help them better serve others
and shape a healthy and productive
life for themselves. See the front desk
for more information. The club is also
looking for one or two adult advisors.

Red Cross Junior Lifeguarding
This fun and educational course is
designed to help prepare young
aspiring lifeguards for the Red Cross
Lifeguarding course. The class
focuses on building a foundation of
knowledge, attitudes and skills of
future lifeguards. Participants get an
introduction to first aid, CPR, and AED
skills, as well as development of
swimming skills and practice on
in-water rescues. Successful
completion of this class will lead to
volunteer opportunities at the Y

non-clothing items will not count

Reciprocity and AWAY Program
Ohio YMCAs have partnered to offer
reciprocal memberships statewide.
The program allows Ohio YMCA
members to access any YMCA in the
state, at no charge when they present
a valid YMCA membership ID card. For
out of state Y members, we are happy
to honor your home Y’s membership
for up to two weeks at no charge with
a valid membership card. Ask at the
desk about alternate arrangements if
in town longer than two weeks.
