make routines, processes, interactions, and decisions easier and more intuitive.
Our human-centric solutions are designed so everyone—people with disabilities; the aging population;
novice technology users; people with language, learning, and literacy challenges; or any individual facing
a situational impairment while using a device—has easy and equal access to your business and services.

Dear ATIA Attendees, Exhibitors and Speakers,
Welcome to our 15th anniversary conference! Anniversaries allow
us to reflect on where we have been, what we have accomplished
and where we are going. Our first conference, held in 1999, drew
536 attendees, many of them educators. Today, we have doubled
that number and have expanded our educational offerings. We are
proud that our event is one of the premier professional development
opportunities for our attendees. Our speakers are the best in the field.
We all should be thankful that so many of our colleagues take the time
to come to Orlando to present excellent content focused on AT and
how it supports persons with disabilities.
Over the years it has also been evident that new attendees have
such great opportunities to network with and meet others who
have been leaders in the field for so many years. This networking,
along with professional development, is at the heart of what ATIA
Orlando has grown into these past 15 years. The mix of professionals,
individuals with disabilities, parents, developers, manufacturers,
researchers and many more is what has kept us growing.
This year, we have continued our tradition of bringing you
networking, learning and sharing opportunities. Here are just a few:
• Learn from more than 300 Educational Sessions that
allow you to learn best practices, the latest research, tips
for implementation and more from experts in the assistive
technology field.
• Share your own examples of success in Smackdowns. Have
a difficult case study? Bring it with you and tap into the
knowledge of the group to come up with answers.
• View the latest advances in assistive technology in the Exhibit
Hall and visit with leaders in the field. Visit the Product Demo
Center for demonstrations of the latest AT tools.
Again, we thank you all for your support of this conference and
for helping us advance the field these past 15 years. We hope you
enjoy the conference!
