FUNDING OPPORTUNITIES Attention Film‐makers! Open Channel is Victoria's Screen Resource Centre and is a non‐profit organisation. We support a diverse and innovative screen industry by providing training and professional development, production initiatives and support. Open Channel acknowledges the financial assistance of Screen Australia and Film Victoria. We have been working across Regional Victoria to conduct customised filmmaker training and production workshops with our Mobile Training Unit, taught by leading Victorian filmmakers. We notice that the Victorian Government Putting Locals First grants program closes 30 June 2015, and believe that our filmmaking programs can help to address some of the priorities of this fund, such as: • increased employment opportunities, developing skills in digital content creation for young people or export businesses such as local tourism • improved community connections, using the medium of video to connect people and places • communities taking action on their own behalf, using video as an online advocacy tool and a local voice We welcome your call if you would like to talk about the possibility of working with Open Channel to deliver a filmmaker training program in your local area.
