Dear San Ramon Families,
Relationships are the most important (and my favorite) part of the role that I get to play at San
Ramon. I was drawn here by the terrific level of community support that was palpable from the first
moment that I stepped onto campus. These wonderful traits are what make it most bittersweet to
announce to you that I will be leaving at the end of the school year to serve as Lynwood Elementary’s
principal in the fall.
Until a few weeks ago, I had every intention of remaining at San Ramon for years to come as I
love the people who make coming to work here every day a true joy. I have constantly encouraged my
staff to be open to new opportunities to grow professionally and to pursue their areas of passion and
interest, so when presented with the chance to help develop the district’s dual-immersion program
(English/Spanish) that will be hosted at Lynwood, I knew that it would be hypocritical not to at least
consider how the project coincides with my affinity for multilingualism. I am excited to serve the
Lynwood community as I have done at San Ramon and hope to launch a dual-immersion program that
will be an excellent asset to NUSD. I remain committed to the personal and academic growth of our
students and staff and will work closely with the incoming principal this spring to ensure that the
transition is a smooth one.
Thank you for the kind, helpful spirit that is exemplified by the San Ramon community. I will
miss you! I am humbled and honored to remain a part of the greater Novato family.

Estimadas Familias de San Ramon:
Las relaciones son la más importante (y mi favorita) parte de la función que yo juego a San
Ramón. Me atrajo aquí por el excelente nivel de apoyo de la comunidad que fue obvio desde el primer
momento en que entré a la escuela. Estas características maravillosas son las razones que hacen que lo
que más agridulce de anunciarle que dejaré al fin del año escolar para servir como director de Lynwood
elemental en el otoño.
Hasta las semanas más reciente, tuve toda la intención de permanecer a San Ramón en los
próximos años ya que me encanta la gente que hace venir a trabajar aquí cada día una verdadera alegría.
Siempre he dicho a mis empleados que deben estar abiertos a nuevas oportunidades para crecer
profesionalmente y a que continúen con sus áreas de interés y pasión, así que, cuando la oportunidad de
ayudar a desarrollar un programa del distrito de doble inmersión (Inglés/Español) que empezará a
Lynwood, yo sabía que sería hipócrita no por lo menos considerar cómo el proyecto coincide con mi
afinidad por el multilingüismo. Estoy muy contento de servir a la comunidad Lynwood como ya lo he
hecho en San Ramón y espero que pudimos iniciar un programa de doble inmersión que será un recurso
excelente para NUSD. Sigo comprometido con el crecimiento personal y académico de nuestros
estudiantes y maestros, trabajando en colaboración con la entrada director/a esta primavera para asegurar
que la transición sea lo más fluida posible.

Yo te extraño! Me siento humilde y honrado de seguir siendo parte de la mayor familia de Novato.
