ASSIGNMENT DESCRIPTION
The objective of the consultancy is to provide technical support to Chiles National
Forestry Commission (CONAF, for its acronyms in Spanish) in the application of
different methodological frameworks (Forest Carbon Partnership Facility, United
Nations Framework Convention on Climate Change, Verified Carbon Standard) to its
Emissions Reduction Program under the FCPFs Carbon Fund and the elaboration of
the respective documentation.

The World Bank intends to finance the assignment / services described below under
the following trust fund(s):

The World Bank now invites eligible consultants to indicate their interest in providing
the services. Interested consultants must provide information indicating that they are
qualified to perform the services (brochures, description of similar assignments,
experience in similar conditions, availability of appropriate skills among staff, etc. for
firms; CV and cover letter for individuals). Please note that the total size of all
attachments should be less than 5MB. Consultants may associate to enhance their
qualifications.
Interested consultants are hereby invited to submit expressions of interest.

Following this invitation for Expression of Interest, a shortlist of qualified firms will be

Qualification Criteria
1. Provide information showing that they are qualified in the field of the assignment. *
2. Provide information on the technical and managerial capabilities of the firm. *
3. Provide information on their core business and years in business. *
4. Provide information on the qualifications of key staff. *
5. Provide information on previous experience with the application of relevant
methodological frameworks, such as, FCPF Carbon Fund, UNFCCC, VCS, etc. *
6. Provide information on previous experience with relevant safeguards frameworks,
such as, World Bank Operational Policies, UNFCCC, REDD+ SES, relevant
International conventions, and Chilean legislation. *
7. Provide information on previous experience with developing reference levels for
forest degradation, particularly in the Chilean or regional context. *

Chilean forest and environmental sector. *
9. Provide information on knowledge of the Spanish language of key staff. *
