CONSIDERACIONES IMPORTANTES
Antes de iniciar la configuración del teléfono Motorola Q para el acceso a datos, se deben tomar las
siguientes consideraciones:
1.
Verifique que el equipo realice y reciba llamadas de voz.
2.
Verifique que se haya asignado el plan de acceso móvil creado para Handset EvDO.
3.
Verifique que la línea posea usuario y password, provistos por Movilnet.
4.
El Computador o Laptop en donde se instalará el teléfono, debe poseer un puerto USB, Windows
2000/NT/ME o XP como Sistema Operativo y 64 Mb en memoria RAM.
5.
Poseer el cable USB, la herramienta ActiveSync 4.2, y los driver del Modem Motorola Q.
NOTA: Si le falta algunas de estas consideraciones o tiene alguna duda, llame al * 611 donde gustosamente será
atendido.

El módem a utilizar debe ser “Módem Smartphone Wireless USB Modem...”

Velocidad máxima 115.200 bps.

Habilite
todas

Una vez culminada la configuración presione “Marcar”.

Su PC está tratando de conectarse, al terminar de validar
usuario y contraseña, aparecerá en la barra de tareas un
icono compuesto por dos computadoras interconectadas,

podrá acceder a Internet sin ninguna dificultad.

Llame al *611, donde le enviarán su clave de conexión a su correo electrónico, vía SMS a su
número telefónico o a un número alternativo.
¿Donde se puede adquirir los Controladores para la conexión y configuración del teléfono como
MODEM?
Llame al *611, donde le enviarán a su correo electrónico los Controladores necesarios para la
conexión del teléfono como módem. También podrá encontrarlos en el CD que viene
acompañado con el cable de datos USB-MiniUSB.
¿Es posible realizar la conexión vía puerto serial?
No, la conexión de datos solo será posible vía USB con el cable USB-MiniUSB.

TROUBLESHOOTING
Problemas de conexión con el teléfono MODEM.
Cerciórese que el teléfono se encuentre agregado en Inicio> Configuración> Panel de Control> Opciones de
Teléfono y MODEM. Deberá aparecer Módem – Smartphone Wireless USB Modem. Asegúrese que se
encuentra un puerto COM asignado al MODEM, si aparece ausente cheque lo siguiente:
Verifique que el cable del teléfono se encuentre conectado correctamente en ambos extremos.
Verifique que el teléfono se encuentra encendido.
Problemas de desconexión con el MODEM.
Cerciórese en la conexión del Dial-up> Propiedades> Funciones de RED. Solo se encuentre activo (tildado) el
Protocolo de Internet (TCP/IP).
Verifique que exista un buen nivel de señal en el teléfono celular.
Problemas con el Dial-UP.
Cerciórese que se encuentre seleccionado el MODEM Smartphone Wireless USB Modem en la conexión de
dial-up> Propiedades.
Verifique el número a marcar, el cual deberá ser #777.
Usuario ó Contraseña incorrecta.
Revise que en él campo de Usuario del acceso a Dial-up se encuentre de la siguiente forma,
( [email protected] ) sunúmerotelefonico(sin prefijo 0416)@cantv.net, y en el campo de Clave se
encuentre la clave enviada a su número por el personal del *611.

Cómo es la facturación de EvDO y 1x.
La facturación de 1x y EvDO es totalmente distinta y se encuentra condicionada a la cobertura existente.
Cómo agrego un favorito al Browser WEB.
Ir a Inicio > Menú > Agregar a favoritos > Insertar el nombre y la dirección que identifiquen la página deseada.
La PC no reconoce el teléfono.
Verifique que la opción “Usar como módem” está activada en el equipo, siguiendo la ruta de acceso:
Inicio > Accesorios > Usar como módem > Seleccione la tecla derecha “Activar” > Aceptar.
Cómo se verifica si me encuentro dentro de cobertura EvDO o 1x.
En la parte superior izquierda de la pantalla, al lado de las barras de nivel de señal aparecerá el estatus de
acuerdo a la plataforma donde se registre el equipo:
- En caso EvDO aparecerá el icono 3G
- En caso 1x aparecerá el icono 1X
