What’s The Bottom Line?
The Paragon is a surprisingly agile solution for such
a big pack. Innovative in its approach to keeping
you cool and packed with useful features, it offers

“It doesn’t balloon like rectangular reservoirs do, so I could
load bulky items around the
WLP and cram my pack to the
brim,” says one tester who used
the system on a five-day trip
in Grand Canyon. The WLP’s
shape is also more stable, distributing water weight evenly
across the back when carried
in a pack’s hydration sleeve
(it fits most packs). More to
love: The top opens wide like
a paper bag for rapid filling,
and closes tight with a sliding
plastic clip. Source reservoirs
are made from a triple-layer
polyethylene with an antibacterial treatment embedded in
the plastic itself rather than
coated on (like the Camelbak

Crud has a hard time clinging
to the WLP’s glassy smooth
surface and the antibacterial
properties do not wear off like
coatings can. In fact, Source
says that their reservoirs do not
need to be cleaned or emptied
after use to prevent slime
buildup. Our tester left water in
the WLP for six weeks without
cleaning and reported no stinky

the DOUBLE D and the PATROL incorporates a
BOOMERANG SHAPED HIP BELT!
This means the belt sits comfortably on the hip bone
taking the load off your spine and stabilizing the pack.
The hip belt is removable and it’s height is adjustable
to allow a perfect fit for comfort and efficient load
bearing.
Back system maintains the load to the sides of the
