AUTHORIZATION/AGREEMENT/WAIVER:
1. I agree to abide by the guidelines/rules and regulations of the Animahenasyon 2015 poster design
contest as stipulated by the Animation Council of the Philippines, Inc. (ACPI).
2. I affirm and declare that the entry I submitted is original, and all information I have indicated in all
submitted documents is true, correct and complete to the best of my knowledge. I understand that any
misrepresentation of facts, by omission or addition, may result in criminal prosecution and shall
invalidate or disqualify my entry to this competition.
3. I understand that any attempt to win this contest by fraud, deception, or plagiarism shall be grounds for
ACPI to disqualify me from participating in all current and future contests and events of ACPI, as well as
forfeiture of any prize won through fraudulent means.
4. I agree that my submitted materials required by the ACPI secretariat shall be the property of ACPI, will
not be returned, and shall remain in its archives.
5. I agree to assign the copyright of the material that I submitted to ACPI.
6. ACPI shall be exempt from any liability in the event that the submitted entry is found to infringe on the
intellectual property rights of any artist or copyright owner.
7. I authorize the ACPI secretariat the right to exhibit my entry in whole or in part in print (publication), and
on the Internet, for promotion and information both local and international.

Guidelines for the Animahenasyon 2015 Poster Design Contest
1. The Animahenasyon 2015 poster design contest is open from 22 November 2013 to 31 July
2014. The competition is open to Filipino citizens of all ages. The elected board members and
the secretariat of the Animation Council of the Philippines, Inc. (ACPI) during the contest period
are not eligible for entry. Relatives up to the second degree of consanguinity of the ACPI board
members, secretariat, and judges are ineligible to join the competition as well.
2. No registration or application fee is required to enter the contest.
3. The entry form and regulations may be photocopied and reproduced, and may be downloaded
from www.animahenasyon.com.
4. Entrants may submit only one (1) entry for the contest.
5. The work submitted must be the entrant’s own and to which s/he has absolute ownership of all
intellectual property rights thereto.
6. General idea of the artwork:
a. The artwork must convey the dynamic and active movement of animation and its forms (2D,
3D, etc.).
b. The artwork must represent the Filipino spirit of teamwork and collaboration about making
dreams come true or come alive.
c. The artwork must not veer away from the general idea or concept of past Animahenasyon
images or artwork.
7. The artwork may be hand-drawn using any medium or digitally designed using any software
application, and making use of at least three (3) vibrant colors.
8. The artwork must be accompanied by a concept brief or a short explanation/interpretation of
his/her concept of the artwork (as indicated in the entry form).
9. No other text details shall appear on the artwork except for “Animahenasyon 2015: 9th
Philippine Animation Festival”.
10. The final output or format of the artwork must be digital and must follow these specifications:
a. Orientation: portrait
b. Size: 18 x 24 inches, no borders
c. Resolution: at least 300 dpi
11. All submissions must comply with the following requirements:
a. Fully accomplished typewritten entry form;
b. Hard copy of artist’s resumé with recent photo, and a small scale version of the poster
affixed with the artist’s signature at the end of his/her resumé;
c. The artwork must be printed on an A4 photo paper, no borders;
d. Typewritten artwork title and concept brief pasted on the back of the printed artwork;
e. One (1) CD copy containing:
 soft copy of the artwork title and concept brief (.rtf file);
 soft copy of artist’s resumé with recent photo (.doc file);
 the poster that is saved in JPG file format at 300 dpi resolution or higher;
f. The (unflattened) raw file (PSD or AI or any other format) shall be required from the entrant
once s/he is declared winner;
g. The CD must be properly labeled with the artwork title and the artist’s complete name;
h. All required files and documents must be enclosed and sealed in a 9” x 12” or A4 document
envelope. No entry will be accepted if the required information and materials are not
included and/or complete.

12. The entrant’s real name, pseudonym, code name, signature, symbol, watermark or any other
marking that may pertain to the entrant must NOT appear on any part of the artwork, or on any
part of the submitted hard copy.
13. Entries may be delivered personally to the secretariat or sent in by mail or courier but must be
received on or before the deadline. The envelope must be properly labeled as “Animahenasyon
2015 poster design contest,” and addressed to the ACPI Secretariat: 5th Floor, C2 Building,
Bonifacio High Street Central, 7th Avenue corner 28th Street, Bonifacio Global City, Taguig City,
1634. The deadline for submission of entries is 12 noon of 31 July 2014.
14. All entries will be judged based on the following criteria:
a. originality of concept (25%)
b. creative execution of concept (25%)
c. adherence to the Animahenasyon logo pattern/theme (25%)
d. overall visual impact (25%)
15. Judges will be appointed by the ACPI. The judges reserve the right to reject, remove, and/or
disqualify entries at its discretion. The decision of the jury is deemed final, conclusive and
irrevocable, and cannot be questioned, challenged or appealed against on any ground.
16. From all the entries that will be received, the jury will deliberate and select the finalists from
which the sole winner will be declared.
17. Facebook favorite:
This is a special award granted by the public who is a Facebook friend of Animahenasyon. In
order for the people to vote for or like the entry, s/he must be a friend of Animahenasyon in
Facebook. The administrator will upload all poster design entries to the photos section of
Animahenasyon Facebook page at <http://www.facebook.com/animahenasyon>. Online voting
(liking) will begin from 12:00 p.m. of July 2 to 12:00 p.m. of August 1, 2014.
18. Only one winner will be declared as Facebook favorite based on the number of "likes" of the
poster design. The entry with the most number of likes by 12:00 p.m. of August 8, 2014 wins.
19. Judging of Animahenasyon 2015 poster design contest is on August 30, 2014, where the
Facebook favorite constitutes one (1) vote in the final judging.
20. The winning artwork will become the property of the Animation Council of the Philippines, Inc.,
but the artist shall be given proper credits and acknowledgements for his/her work.
21. The winner of the Animahenasyon 2015 poster design contest will be announced and awarded
on 28 November 2014 during the closing ceremony and awards night of Animahenasyon 2014,
except for the Facebook favorite in which the winner will be revealed when the online voting
closes.
22. The winner will receive an all-access pass to Animahenasyon 2014 worth about PhP 5,000. S/he
will also be featured in the festival souvenir program of Animahenasyon 2014.
23. The winner shall also be responsible in the execution of the festival’s marketing collateral such
as the backdrop, photo wall, standee, banner, and other related materials based on his/her
winning artwork.
24. Failure to comply with or any violation of these guidelines shall automatically disqualify the
participant.
