TECNALIA Research & Innovation organiza los días 27, 28 y 29 de Mayo de 2015 el
VII Congreso Internacional de Envolventes Arquitectónicas (ICAE 2015). El evento, que se
celebra cada 3 años, tendrá lugar en el Palacio de Congresos y Auditorio Kursaal de DonostiaSan Sebastián (España).
La temática principal sobre la que se va a desarrollar el Congreso está relacionada con la
“smartización” o introducción de nuevas tecnologías en la Envolvente Arquitectónica.
La elección de esta temática como hilo conductor del Congreso se realiza debido a que,
en los últimos años, la envolvente está adquiriendo cada vez más importancia como
elemento centralizador de la relación del edificio con su entorno. Así mismo se considera
que esta relación debe ser lo más dinámica posible permitiendo a la envolvente reaccionar y
adaptarse a las condiciones exteriores e interiores y así mejorar el rendimiento de la misma
y del propio edificio. Para ello es necesario que la envolvente reciba información de todo
su entorno y actúe en consecuencia, abriendo o cerrando partes de la misma, modificando
sus prestaciones térmicas, variando su configuración geométrica, oscureciendo zonas, etc.
Esta “dinamización” del comportamiento de la envolvente se está empezando a explorar
mediante la introducción de nuevas tecnologías y sistemas que permitan conocer todos
estos parámetros y reaccionar en consecuencia.
Por ello el objetivo principal del congreso es hablar de este proceso; sus ventajas, inconvenientes,
problemas, beneficios, etc. y la forma en la que deben adaptarse, evolucionar o complementarse
los sistemas que tenemos en la actualidad.
TEMÁTICA PRINCIPAL:
TECNALIA Research & Innovation hosts the VII International Congress on Architectural
Envelopes (ICAE 2015) on 27, 28 and 29 May 2015. The event, which is held every 3 years,
will take place at the Kursaal Congress Center at Donostia-San Sebastian (Spain).
The main topic of the Congress will be related to “Smartization”, or the introduction of
new technologies in Architectural Envelopes.
This topic will be the driving force for this Congress since envelopes are becoming
increasingly important as core elements in the relationship between buildings and their
environment. Likewise, it is thought that this relationship must be as dynamic as possible,
allowing the envelope to react and adapt to the external and internal conditions, thus
improving its performance and that of the building itself. To this end, it is essential for
the envelope to receive information from its entire environment, opening and closing
sections, modifying its thermal performance, changing its geometric configuration,
darkening areas, etc. This “dynamization” of the performance of the envelope is starting
to be explored by means of new technologies and systems that allow to learn about all
these parameters and react accordingly.
For this purpose, the main goal of the Congress is to address this process; its advantages,
drawbacks, problems, benefits, etc. and the way in which they must adapt, evolve or
complement current systems.

a la dirección de correo: [email protected]. Los resúmenes deben incluir el título, el contenido
principal y las palabras clave. En la portada del documento deben figurar los nombres de los
autores, la empresa a la que pertenecen y sus datos de contacto. En la web del evento se

pueden descargar los documentos con el formato de los resúmenes y artículos.

Participants are invited to send their abstracts (in English), with a maximum extension of 300
