Cómo Glorificar a Dios
How to Glorify God
Una de las cosas más importante que el ser humano puedes
hacer es glorifiquen a Dios. El apóstol Pablo escribió, “A él sea gloria
por los siglos d los siglos, amén” (2 Timoteo 4:18). Dios merece la
gloria que le damos y Dios está siendo glorificado cuando hacemos su
voluntad.
Primero, Dios está siendo glorificado por medio de la
adoración que es según su voluntad, sin embargo, muchas personas
ofrecen adoración a Dios que es según sus deseos y opiniones. ¿Qué
dijo Jesús? Él dijo, “Dios es Espíritu: y los que le adoran, en espíritu y
en verdad es necesario que adoren” (Juan 4:24). La única manera por
la cual Dios puede ser glorificado es a través de la adoración que es
“en espíritu y en verdad.” Esto es la adoración que es del corazón y
autorizada por Dios.
Segundo, Dios está siendo glorificado cuando su obra se hace
según las escrituras. Jesús dijo, “Id por todo el mundo y predicad el
evangelio...” (Marcos 16:15). La responsabilidad de la iglesia es
llevar las buenas noticias del evangelio, sin embargo muchas personas,
a veces hermanos, están llevando sus propias doctrinas y tradiciones.
Cada aspecto de la obra de Dios debería hacerse según su palabra. La
obra de la iglesia no es entretener al mundo, ni a los hermano, sino la
obra de Dios es predicar el evangelio (Mateo 28:18-20), edificar a la
iglesia espiritualmente a través de la palabra (1 Pedro 2:2, Gálatas
6:1-2), y hacer lo bueno cuando haya oportunidad (Gálatas 6:10).
Todos los proyectos de la iglesia tienen que ser conforme a la
voluntad de Dios.
Tercero, Dios está siendo glorificado cuando los miembros
viven la vida cristiana, la cual da honra y gloria a Dios. No solamente
la iglesia o la congregación tienen la responsabilidad de glorificar a
Dios, sino que es responsabilidad de cada miembro. “Así alumbre
vuestra luz delante de los hombres, pare vean vuestras buenas obras, y
glorifiquen a vuestro Padre que está en los cielos” (Mateo 5:16).
Glorificamos a Dios cada día cuando vamos al trabajo, a la escuela, la
tienda o alrededor de la comunidad, y al mismo tiempo alumbramos
con nuestra luz espiritual al mundo, delante de los compañeros, amigos
y vecinos.
Dios merece toda la gloria y honra que sus hijos pueden darle a
través de la adoración, su obra y la vida cristiana. Que glorifiquemos a
Dios como su iglesia y como individuos, y siempre según su voluntad.

One of the most important things that a human being can do is
glorify God. The apostle Paul wrote, “to whom be glory for ever and
ever, amen” (2 Timothy 4:18). God deserves the glory that we should
give him and he is being glorified when we do his will.
First, God is being glorified through worship that is according
to his will, however, many people offer worship to God that is
according to their own desires and opinions. What did Jesus say? He
said, “God is a Spirit, and they that worship him must worship him in
spirit and in truth” (John 4:24). The only manner by which God can
be glorified is through worship that is “in spirit and in truth.” That is
the worship that is from the heart and authorized by God.
Second, God is being glorified when his work is done
according to the Scriptures. Jesus said, “Go ye into all the world, and
preach the gospel…” (Mark 16:15). The responsibility of the church is
to take the good news of the gospel into all the world, however many
people, and sometimes brethren, are taking their own doctrines and
traditions. Every aspect of the work of God must be done according to
his word. The work of the church is not to entertain the world, nor
brethren, but the work of God is to preach the gospel (Matthew 28:1820), build up the church spiritually through the preaching of the word
(1 Peter 2:2, Galatians 6:1-2), and to do good when there is the
opportunity (Galatians 6:10). All of the projects and plans of the
church must conform to the will of God.
Third, God is being glorified when the members live the
Christian life, which brings honor and glory to God. Not only the
church or the congregation has the responsibility to glorify God, but
that also is the responsibility of every member. “Let your light so
shine before men, that they may see your good works, and glorify your
Father which is in heaven” (Matthew 5:16). We glorify God every day
when we go to work, school, the store or around the community, and at
the same time we let our spiritual light shine in the world, before our
companions, friends and neighbors.
God deserves the glory and honor that his children can give
him through worship, his work and the Christian life. May we glorify
God as his church and as individuals, and always according to his will.
