We gladly welcome you to Barcelona and to the CAE’s Barcelona Training Centre.
We are sure you will find training here to be a pleasant and rewarding experience, and we will
do our utmost to maximize your training efficiency by providing you with superior training
facilities, leading-edge training technology and experienced personnel.
This booklet is intended to help you find your way within our training facilities. Furthermore, it
provides you with some useful information on training centre access and services, hotel logistics
and local area transportation. Further information regarding activities outside the centre is also
at your disposal (from a cultural, gastronomic and amusement point of view).
Our entire staff will ensure that you have a satisfying training experience in a friendly
atmosphere to make you feel at home since your arrival.

GETTING TO CAE BARCELONA BY PUBLIC TRANSPORT
BY TRAIN
You can take any of the following lines:
R2 – From Castelldefels to Granollers Centre.
R2 Nord – From Aeroport to Maçanet/Maçanes.
The train stop is El Prat de Llobregat, and from there you can take bus PR1.

BY BUS
The bus stop is located at the Autovia de Castelldefels, close to the HOTEL TRYP
AEROPUERTO.
You can take any of the following lines:
PR1 – Airport – El Prat de Llobregat – Airport (Circle line).
L94 – From Barcelona (Ronda Universitat) to Sitges (Passeig Marítim).
L95 – From Barcelona (Ronda Universitat) to Castelldefels (Av. Del Poal).
L80 – From Barcelona (Av. Paral·lel) to Gavà (Riera Sant Llorenç).
L87 – From Barcelona (Av. Paral·lel) to Viladecans (Av. Can Palmer).

GETTING TO CAE BARCELONA (FROM THE AIRPORT)
Driving directions from Barcelona Airport to CAE’s Barcelona centre:
Head northwest on Accés a l'Aeroport/B-22.
At the fork, keep to the left side, and leave B-22 at exit 5.
At the roundabout, continue straight ahead, taking the second exit.
Carry on towards Autovía de Castelldefels.
At the roundabout, take the second exit; and at the next roundabout, take the first exit and
continue by the parallel street Carrer del Garraf.
At the fork, keep to the right to Carrer del Garraf and at the next fork, turn right at Avinguda
de les Garrigues.

GETTING TO CAE BARCELONA (FROM THE CITY CENTRE)
Driving directions from Barcelona downtown to CAE’s Barcelona centre:
From Plaça d’Espanya, take Gran Via de les Corts Catalanes heading east, and drive for 250 m.
At the roundabout, continue at the Gran Via de les Corts Catalanes for 1,8 km.
Continue at Avinguda de la Gran Via de l'Hospitalet/B-18/C-31. Continue to C-31.
Take exit 190 heading to Viladecans/Cartopac and continue for 300 m.
At the roundabout, take the third exit and follow the Carrer del Garraf for 600 m.
Turn slightly right towards Carrer del Garraf and continue for 95 m.
Turn slightly right towards Avinguda de les Garrigues.

Safety & Disciplinary actions
Under the Health & Safety at Work Act 1974, CAE has a legal duty to ensure that the practices
carried out in its workplace, and the workplace itself, are safe.
At the CAE Barcelona Training centre, we are responsible for the safety of those who come into
contact with the company and its products and services, and are wholeheartedly committed to
complying with the requirements of the act. We shall do all that is reasonably practicable to
prevent personal injury, and to protect everyone from foreseeable hazards.
During your stay at the training centre, you are requested to comply with the following
regulations:
Please ensure that you wear your identification or visitor’s badge at all times while you are
on the premises.
Please, comply with all signage, i.e. parking restrictions, prohibited areas, no smoking, etc.
Smoking is not allowed inside the training center.
No smoking at the simulators.
It is forbidden to bring any food or beverages inside the simulators.
Do not leave your personal belongings unattended.
Do not enter any area that is cordoned off, particularly around the flight simulators.
All photography in and around the building is prohibited.
Never step outside the simulator on the catwalk while it is in motion.
Where, in the opinion of training staff, clients exhibit an attitude towards the house rules,
training program, exam regulations, staff or company not conductive to the efficient and/or safe
operation of the training organization, this attitude will be reported to the Head of Training
(HoT).
Family or friends are not permitted to enter the centre without the prior approval of the center’s
management. However, if entrance is granted, our safety regulations prohibit you from taking
your family or friends into the simulators.

Fire / Emergency evacuation
IF YOU DISCOVER A FIRE
•
Immediately activate the nearest fire alarm.
•
The receptionist will phone the fire department.
ON HEARING THE FIRE ALARM
•
Leave the building immediately by the shortest fire exit route.
•
All along the building you will find the evacuation maps, indicating the shortest way out
of the building.
•
The assembly point is the main car park in front of the building.
•
In the simulator halls, all the simulators will shut down. Always exit the simulator to the
first floor and evacuate through the nearest exit. Never go down to the floor of the
simulator bay.

Client Lounge and Business Centre
CAFETERIA
On the ground floor at the Barcelona Training Centre there is a dining area. It is located next to
the reception and it is open 24 hours.
In it you can find vending machines offering:

Please remember it is prohibited to eat and drink inside or around the simulators or training
equipment.
CLIENT AREA AND BUSINESS CENTRE
On the first floor you can find the client lounge, which can be used as a meeting point, rest area,
and business centre.
It is available 24 hours, and it is equipped with comfortable sofas and a cold water dispenser.
You can also find:
Computers with Internet connection.
Fax machine, Laser Printer and copy machine.
Free WiFi is available in the building. Please ask our receptionist for the access code.
