VISITOR'S VISA (Subclass 600)
List of documents required for citizens of all countries
All applicants must provide supporting documents along with their application. The Department of Immigration and
Citizenship will make a decision based on the evidence / information presented along with the request. It is recommended that
all applicants provide as much evidence as possible to support their request.
Form
Form duly signed and completed. You must clearly indicate the applicant's address and email address.

Application fee and payment methods
Important: As of February 4, 2014, the Australian Embassy in Mexico will not accept cash.
All tari s can only be paid as follows:
Credit card (Visa, Mastercard, American Express, Diners Club or JCB) which is our preferred method. Credit card
payments are processed in Australian dollars (AUD). When paying by credit card you must accept the charges associated
with bank charges and expenses for currency conversion applied by the same bank.
People who have relatives or friends in Australia can make tari payments or other services directly at the nearest DIBP
(Australia Department of Immigration and Border Protection) o ice. A copy of the payment receipt must be attached to your
visa application.
Note: Personal or business checks or money orders are not accepted. Nor Australian or American dollars are accepted.

Simple photocopy of the main page of your passport.
Photo recent passport size (with no more than 6 months old).

Other documents for "Tourist Category"
The following information should not be more than one month old.
Su icient financial evidence to cover all travel expenses. Example: bank statements of checks, savings or investments
(last 3 months)
If you are employed, letter from your employer indicating type of contract, seniority, salary and vacation period granted.
If you are a student, proof of studies at your school, university or institute.
If you are visiting family or friends, letter of invitation and identification of the person who invites you. If your relative or
friend pays for your stay, you must provide evidence of the funds available to cover these expenses.
Any information that indicates that you have incentives to return to your country. Example: Assets
Other documents for "Category Business Visit"
The following information should not be more than one month old.
Evidence of your business trip to Australia, such as:
Letter from the company or institution that invites you, detailing the reasons for your visit.
Confirmation and details of your registration to participate in a conference / congress.
Letter from your employer stating the reasons for your visit.
If a company or institution in Australia or your employer in your country of residence covers travel expenses, the
corresponding letter should indicate these details.
If you pay the trip, evidence of su icient funds (Example: bank statements, savings or investment account)
Minors
If a child under the age of 18 travels to Australia without one or neither of the parents or legal guardian, he or she must provide
the 1229 format (http://www.immi.gov.au/allforms/pdf/1229.pdf) signed by both parents together with their identification.
Birth certificate of the child with the names of both parents. In addition and only in case the minor has a legal guardian,
documents that certify the data of the legal guardian.
If the child under 18 years of age will remain in Australia under the care of a person who is not a parent or legal guardian, they

Our department will specifically request these documents a er you have submitted your application.
Medical exams
The requirement for medical examinations will depend on your particular circumstances, the type of activities to be carried out
in Australia and your country of origin or residence. Generally you should not perform medical exams, unless our department
has requested it and only a er you have submitted your visa application.

Designation of an authorized person

you authorize us to do so. If you wish to designate another person as an "authorized person" (to receive information regarding
your application), you must complete one of the following forms:
Form 956: Advice for a migration agent / exempt person of providing immigration assistance
