MADRID OPEN CHAMPIONSHIP DIVING‐AGE GROUP 2017 1. PRESENTATION:
The Madrid Swimming Federation (FMN) is pleased to present you the new
“MAD DIVING OPEN Age-Group” Competition to be held from February 17th
to 19th 2017 in its first edition.
This competition, published in the calendar of the LEN, will be performed in
one of the most traditional facilities on the European Continent, the “M-86
Aquatic Centre” in Madrid, that housed and still houses for 23 years the “FINA
Diving Grand Prix”, As well as many other important events.
MAD DIVING OPEN Age-Group aims to become a benchmark competition
with the Age Group Divers.
Together with to the conditions that this facility has for the competition, as well
as the organizational capacity of the FMN, accustomed to hold events of high
level, the city of Madrid offers great tourist attractions, an unbeatable hotel
offer and excellent transports connections.
Those teams that will decide to participate have a direct and economic
transport from the airport and accommodation in hotels very close to the M-86
Aquatic Center.

The organizing committee for the championship is Madrilenian Swimming Federation
(FMN) that will create an organizing committee (LOC).
2. CATEGORIES
Category “A”: (2001-2000-1999)
Category “B”: (2003-2002)
Category “C”: (2005-2004)
3. PARTICIPATION
Participation will be open to all divers with license in force for this season, belonging to
Madrilenian federated clubs and to diving schools dependent on the FMN, as well as any
national or foreign divers with a current license.
Certificate for non-Madrilenian divers (Model 1):
Together with the inscription, non-Madrilenian clubs must send a certificate of their
federation, certifying that they have medical insurance for the current season, as well as
having a territorial license as a diver.
4. REGISTRATION

Registration will be made no later than Thursday 2th February 2017.
The diving sheets will be handled through the Diverecorder program;

for filling the diving sheets, and then you may send the file, and the nominal relation
(Model 2) to the following e-mail [email protected] , within the established
period.
On Thursday 16th February, before the competition, dive sheets for the first session
will be signed, at the head office of the Madrilenian Swimming Federation no later
than 20:00.
5. COMPETITION EXPENSES FOR NON MADRILENIAN-TEAMS

Independent divers will not be admitted.
All participating teams must manage their license through a swimming club or
federation.

Participating teams that do not belong to the FMN, must provide along with the
registration, a current account number of their club, where the charge corresponding
to their participation will be made.
The registration of non-FMN divers, will cost € 12 for each inscription, without any
deductions for injures or not presented divers, all the inscriptions will be charged.
6. COMPETITION RULES
The rules of the competition will be conducted in accordance to FINA Rules and
Regulations.

Categories and year birth: “A”, “B” and “C” will be in accordance to FINA Rules

Divers will be able to participate only in his corresponding category or in a higher age
group, but it isn’t allowed to dive in more than one age group.
All competition will be direct final.

Individual Diving:
o Category “A” (1999-2000-2001): Springboard 1 m. Springboard 3 m. Platform
5 m, 7.5 m, 10m.
o Category “B”(2002-2003): Springboard 1 m. Springboard 3 m. Platform 5 m,
7.5 m, 10m.
o Category “C” (2004-2005): Springboard 1 m. Springboard 3 m. Platform 5 m,
7.5 m
Total 18 direct final events.
•
Synchronised Diving:
Will be able to compete pairs formed by different age groups and different clubs.
o Category “A/B combined” 3m springboard
o Category “C/B combined” 1m springboard.
Total 4 direct final events.
•
Jump Event:
o Category “A/B girls/boys combined” 1m, 3m, platform.
Total 1 direct final.

Ranking in individual and synchronized events.
The sum of the total points obtained in each individual event, will give the male and
female classification.
In the synchronized dives, half of the score obtained will be assigned to each member of
the pair.
9. AWARDS
Medals will be awarded to the competitors placed first, second and third in each event.
Awards in sports equipment: 20 € in sports equipment of the brand Disseny to the athlete
with the greater sum of points in the individual events by category and sex.
The maximum period to exchange the equipment will be until 19th May 2017.
10. SCHEDULE
Depending the entries received the LOC could:

Whenever in any event there would be 5 or fewer divers the LOC could join the
male and female categories.
