English Acquisition for Adults
Learn English as a second language. Classes are
available for adults at beginning and intermediate levels. Free childcare is available for
children 5 & under with siblings attending TUSD schools.

Department
Parents, guardians, students, and TUSD employees will learn about
Requirements of the law providing supports and resources to students who are homeless,
living in inadequate circumstances, or living on their own. You will learn how to identify
McKinney-Vento students, who is eligible, enrollment and transportation requirements,
what services and resources are available, and how you can help.

Get Ready for Kindergarten! Presented by TUSD Preschool Program
Parents
will gain understanding of the expectations of kindergarten and how they can support their
child to be well prepared. The workshop will focus on regulation vs. compliance and
selective focus, social skills, and problem solving. These are the most important skills we
can help our children develop as they prepare for kindergarten and beyond. Parents will
also learn about the importance of literacy and language/vocabulary development and
what they can do to support the development of these skills at home.
