Situada en el Noroeste del P.N. de la Sierra de Andujar, limitando con la provincia de Ciudad Real. El relieve es quebrado, con pendiente media del 30 %, conteniendo las rocas más antiguas del subsuelo del Parque ( período ordovícico), compuesto sobre todo de crestas cuarcíticas. Calificado como zona de Protección Grado A, según el PRUG, por sus altos valores ecológicos y paisajísticos. Area de interés geológico, destacando el Pico del Burcio del Pino (cota máxima del Parque, 1.290 mts.), arroyo de la Licea, collados de Hontanar y de Candalar-Bañas y garganta del río Valmayor. Presencia en su mayor parte de matorral, y en menor medida pastizal y encinas, destacando la aparición de Roble melojo (Quercus pyrenaica). Flora rupícola.Sierra de media montaña con vegetación mediterránea muy importante para la nidificación de rapaces, destacando Águila Imperial Ibérica (Aquila adalberti) y Buitre Negro (Aegypius monachus).
